Cara Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 Thanks everybody Not long to go now! Think my only problem will be prising it off of Doug and reminding him it's half mine Going to miss my Mini Cooper S, but still.... Quote
Stew Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 You'll get it off him for 2 weeks out of 5 at least! Quote
Cara Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 Very true, that's what I'm counting on! lol! Quote
bronzee Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Think my only problem will be prising it off of Doug and reminding him it's half mine Going to miss my Mini Cooper S, but still.... Lol, you might, until you get used to all the extra torque the bigger Zed engine has. Mind you the old Zeddy is a bit harder to find parallel parks for being longer and bigger than a Mini. Oh and check in at http://www.zchickz.com, owned and run by lady zed fanatics. Quote
Cara Posted October 26, 2008 Author Posted October 26, 2008 Thanks for the link, I will check it out. It's going to feel very strange driving a much longer car having been used to the Mini, going to have to be verrrry careful Quote
martinmac Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Just warch the back end until you get used to it, can get a little twitchy in the wet. Quote
Cara Posted October 26, 2008 Author Posted October 26, 2008 Oh me, already been warned about watching the back end, I'm slightly scared No I had never driven the Skyline - primarily because even if I wanted to, I couldn't! The driver's seat was fixed in place, and I'm a short arse, feet wouldn't go anywhere near the pedals (I'm 5'2, he's 6'2, you do the math ) Besides, I would have been too scared, my life wasn't worth it Drove the Lexus, lovely to drive. Other than that, and wee shots of various cars, my own past cars have been a 1.1 Fiesta (typical first car!), a 1.4 modified Civic Illusion, and the Cooper S. So big change. Quote
Stew Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Ahhhh, take it easy then. You coming out for a run this week then with me and Doug? Quote
Cara Posted October 26, 2008 Author Posted October 26, 2008 Sure, can't wait to go for a good run Quote
Stew Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Cool. I said I'd text when I'm free next week. Just make sure you get a shot! Quote
Cara Posted October 26, 2008 Author Posted October 26, 2008 Well he will have it all day while I'm working so I reckon that the evenings are mine Not gonna happen though lol Quote

One of my mates here, he's 6'3 or 6'4 and she's only 5' and still manages to drive the 350. Quite hilarious watching them do a driver change at meets. See you at Zchickz Cara. Quote
Cara Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 Oh, ffs, car still not ready.. meant to be tomorrow now.. (patience is not my strong point obviously! ) Quote
Stew Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 They are taking the **** a bit now. Whats going on with it? Quote
Cara Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 They are taking the **** a bit now. Whats going on with it? Something to do with the issue of the temporary insurance certificate being delayed and them just missing the Post Office for getting the tax today... Assured it will be tomorrow first thing... Which means Doug will be out having fun whilst I'm stuck at work. So jealous! Never mind, not long now Quote
Ebized Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Cool. I said I'd text when I'm free next week. Just make sure you get a shot! .................and you got those snow chains ready Quote

nixy Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Hi Cara - welcome along. There does seem to be a lot of Zeds in Aberdeen now - just the right time of year with the snow arriving! Shouldn't you all be in big four wheel drives up there? Quote
ab350z Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 There's heaps up here, I had 2 GM's pass me on way home from work last night in less than 10 mins and a sunset this morning. Quote

Shouldn't you all be in big four wheel drives up there? Thanks It's typical, the day we are due to pick up the car (finally) and it bloody snows! I'm hoping we still get some good days so that it doesn't have to be tucked up in the garage until Spring Quote
