Alloy Brush

Folks, what brush does everyone use for cleaning the alloys? My Rays are beginning to look seriously haggered and don't want to use something thats too harsh. Bought one from Halfords and it broke on first use!

......saw a post by a detailer on this forum - I'm really pleased with it - strong but flexible and does the inside of the wheels a treat. But I still use an old mitt like GIXXERUK as well to get round the back of the spokes and nooks and crannies.

If you go into a Mountain Bike shop or look online, Muc-off do a set that includes brushes, wheel cleaner (yes it is safe on alloys and chrome) all boxed up in a wash tub perfect for cleaning wheels!! Brushes are great for getting in to the small spaces and removing brake dust....

They look like they got some nice products, anyone try the silica wheel protect or the silicon shine? Used to use them all the time for MTB and they all do what they say on the tin!

I use old wash mitts and a Meguiars wheel brush to do the depth of the wheels.

I use the EZ Detail Brush or a Megs Microfibre Mitt depending on how dirty they are

I use microfibre mitt, polished bliss wheel back brush, meguiars wheel brush and little paint brush things!

 

Wish I still had the rays on! :lol:

As above Billberry is a very good non acidic wheel cleaner.

 

EZ Detail brush,you wont buy a better brush for cleaning the inner rims of your wheels.

 

I also you the Megs Wheel face brush which is quite soft.

 

You may also consider sealing them with a wheel sealant or something like Jetseal 109.

Absolutely. Although they are cast finis so not that easy to clean......

i use an old wash mitt, but if you want a brush i've read the Ezz one is the best at the moment
