satsuma71 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 £10 quid rims sats! Stew, twas 10 for the rears, and onlyb 5 for the fronts Quote
verma Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Hi all, sorry im a newbie, I know 20's will go straight on but will it look and ride ok without being lowered? Quote
Stew Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 it'll ride fine but in my opinion won't look right. Not sure if others on here have had 20s and not lowered but for less than £200 for a set of Eibachs it's well worth it. Good stance and an improvement on standard. Quote
M350ZB Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Andy the Boss Penta's, are looking !!!!!!!! Quote
verma Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Hi can someone confirm whats is needed to put 20's on a zed then (apaprt from carand wheels lol), are spacers needed? How much they cost if they are needed and will wheel suppliers sell them? Quote

How much they cost if they are needed and will wheel suppliers sell them? Spacers will only be needed if you buy the wrong offsets. Big Phil supplies spacers Quote
verma Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Thanks Ian, you've been a great help! I'm looking to go wheelmania and check some other places out, what offset do I need? I will be thinking of lowering the car too and have been told eibachs are best to buy? Quote
Ian Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 IMO the best offset to go for is between +20 & +25, Dont know about springs I went for coilovers These are mine - 19", +22 offset lowered on cusco coilovers Quote
verma Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Looking nice!! Whats the price difference between coils and eibachs then? And they both drop same height as I want 20's on mine? And these the eibachs? - http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=3510630133&a=i Would I need anything else to lower the car? Quote
Ian Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Depends what coilovers you go for From memory springs were £200ish & coilovers are arouns £1k. The drop also depends on which coilover or spring as they lower different amounts Quote
Stew Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Search and you'd have found that Eibach springs as run on my Azure pictured earlier are around £200. Coilovers are around £1000. The Eibachs are a fixed drop (approx 20 - 25mm) however the coilovers are variable. Quote
verma Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 What u think to these?? - http://performancedirect.potn.co.uk/p1020585.htm Budget tyres but not bad for the price?? Quote
Stew Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Just saw a roadster with those on in another thread... Look good. Avoid budget tyres though... Get a grip! It's a 300bhp rear wheel drive and we live in the UK. Quote

I've just e-mailed them about chaging tyres to performance ones and also if the alloy would get damaged in the snow and if offset would be ok or spacers required? Quote
Stew Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Well to be fair, they could tell you anything for a sale. If you post up the sizes, offsets and tyre size and type you'll get the opinions of some knowledgeable people. Quote
Ian Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Looking at that site the offsets will be either +20 or +15 Its on the details tab btw Quote
verma Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 What u think they'll look like on a silver zed lowered (most probably eibachs)? Assuming I get good tyres...but saying that I'll only use the car at the weekends, would budget be ok till I run them out? Quote
Stew Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 would budget be ok till I run them out? It's up to you.... Quote
Sarnie Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 They don't look like ideal zed rims to me............no stagger (8.5j all round)...........275/45 sounds wrong too....... PS: Its not the snow that will damage the rims as thats just frozen water Its the salt that is put on the road to melt the snow that corrodes the laquer..... Quote

Not a great fan of those (sorry Les! ) but how about PIAA Superrozzas. They come in 20" with a +25 offset and don't break the bank. http://www.zmodified.com/gallery/displa ... =745&pos=4 Quote
