Hi all,

Was just questioning what people might think the future of Nissans sports cars might be like for the UK and Europe?

Obviously they are not releasing the new Z over here (for reasons that are beyond me) but do you reckon this could change in the future? Or is it a solid no and if so, do you think the market will increase for the Z platform? E.g make them more desirable?

A thread exists discussing this. Market for Zed is near non existent. While cars like Alpine can sell 1700 a year in UK and 8000 more in EU. The Zed wont sell over a couple of hundred. One of the reasons not much evolution in it since 350Z....Its not a new car, parts bin, old chassis. Also design is a marmite one for many

The future is basically SUVs, trucks for US and Middle East and a badly run company that gets dropped by Renault.

In UK Electric crossovers and SUVs made in Sunderland . There may be a hybrid version of the next generation Z or smaller displacement replacement for Silvia to appease the nostalgic fans. The current Z will continue to 2030.....The 2016 engine doesn't meet Euro 7 and do they have money to make the necessary adjustments? Since the declaration of trying to bring to the UK what progress has been made? It seems complicated.

By the time the full circle and realization of EV maxing out at 30% market share happens itll be too late. Theyll be far behind the curve as they were with the Leaf when Tesla arrived with the model S. Other manufacturers have reverted back to ICE and ICE hybrid offerings. Nissan retooled factories and committed to EV back in 2021?!

They need new ownership, they dont know what they're doing. They need owners who can concentrate on export market and prioritize European markets taking advantage of the bias against Chinese manufacturers using Japanese identity and European manufacturing bases.

Nissan's biggest problem is they seem to react years after everyone else has picked a lane. A hybrid Z or proper small coupe would at least give the badge some life here, but it feels like Sunderland crossovers are the whole plan.

Analyzing complex market trends and navigating conflicting claims often highlights the importance of having clear, objective criteria before making any decisions. Whether you are assessing a car manufacturer's strategy or evaluating complex online platforms, relying on surface-level ratings is rarely enough. Having a clear checklist of what is actually being measured makes all the difference when trying to filter out the noise.

I kept finding casino lists with impressive scores, but I couldn't tell what was actually being compared. I wanted to understand the checks behind a recommendation before looking at individual offers. I wanted to explore fully audited casino brand listings and found more useful information on InteraCasino about the checks behind its reviews. The payment, withdrawal and bonus details gave me a practical checklist for comparing each site. I'm sharing it because comparing those details helped me work out which questions to ask about each casino.

Nissan is going to extremes: all they have are EV crossovers and old cult classics. To maintain their reputation in Europe and save the Z lineup, they urgently need a hybrid sports coupe.

What reputation? Nissan have always primarily been a manufacturer of cars that your Nan would drive, with a smattering of sports cars on the side. What they need is a generic car that people actually really want to buy, like the original Juke was in modern terms or the Micra going back a bit further. Something that will actually sell, not something that’s going to go up against the might of an M or an AMG where the majority will put their money regardless.

I don't single out Nissan for producing bland, soulless cars. Pretty much every manufacturer is at it these days.

Ignoring supercars, GT3s and other unobtainable exotic stuff, there genuinely isn't a single new car on sale that makes me want to walk into a dealership for a test drive. That's a pretty depressing thought.

As for EVs, I'd genuinely rather poke my eyes out than own one. And if I ever reach the point where I'm sitting in the pub discussing charging curves, battery conditioning and public charging networks for an hour, someone please put me out of my misery.

I've taken to hiring a car when I have a long journey to take; daily a 25 year old Rav4 for running around town, shopping and tip runs; and 370z toy for fun.

I've come to the conclusion peak motor car was 1990s and we didn't realise it at the time.  The next car I buy will possibly be an R33, to sit alongside the 370z.
