Previous 370z Nismo owner. Possibly 350z 2006 owner tomorrow

Recommended Posts

Heyo.

What an awesome forum this is. Great to see somewhere like this is still active.

Used to own a 2014 370z Nismo #402 in white.

I loved that car but unfortunately made the decision to sell it as I believed I was moving. Made about £3k due to the crazy JDM inflation over the past couple of years.

Massively regretted that sale and never ended up moving due to the crazy house prices at the time.

1 year later and tomorrow I'm off to see a 350z 2006 uprev. Need to be more sensible with money whilst i save for a house haha. Excited to say the least. I've put down a refundable deposit just need to test drive the car and confirm its the one for me. Done tons of research and it seems like a decent year, no rust or bubbles on the photos. I'm sure whatever 350z I go for I'll have tons of questions. Hopefully we can do some meets or something in the future. I'd love to do something like that Silverstone one you guys have lined up in April.

Welcome back to the OC.

Hope the car is as described and we can see pics of it when you get it home.

Thankyou for the welcome all!

Unfortunately it had a horrible home paint job on the body and wheels. Cracked front bumper worse than the pictures or video could really show (paint on the windows, wipers, flaking off in places, no clean finish lines anywhere). Smoked in interior and generally pretty poor body condition. Lights were discoloured and too far gone to buff out, would need all new housing. Was happy to do some work to it but it was just too far gone for me to take on. Mechanically it was great, new clutch and brakes, new aftermarket exhaust (unsure what model) They were asking 8.5k but tbh I would still be reluctant at like 6k and I didn't want to insult them by asking for that amount.

My search continues I guess...after test driving I can say that I absolutely want a 350z now though. I actually prefer the engine note and feel to my old 370z...

Forgot to take pics but find one that was sent to me below. Looks great at a distance...just not any closer than 4 meters away 😳

I can see why you put a deposit down.

On my phone that tiny photo makes it look stunning!

Must have been such a downer turning up to find out it had trashed bodywork.

Good luck hunting:thumbs:

I know right! Looks great there but yeah shame about the details.

Good luck with your search . Always good to look at the Zeds for sale on here as they will more likely be well cared for and known.

Thankyou yes I'm looking around at the for sale area now. I'm used to buying from traders but if the right one shows up here I'll probably buy private

Personally much rather buy from a forum member than a trader. Traders know nothing about these cars and what they take to maintain. Members do, simples.. as I say good luck with your search.
