HEADPHONES Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Someone advised me to change my UK driving license for an EU one by 28 March due to Brexit so I wouldn't have extra theory tests etc should I want to drive in EU after Brexit. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/prepare-to-drive-in-the-eu-after-brexit But it seems to me like that's IF you live in EU. Living in UK I'd need to change the EU license for a UK one again after a year....I think What do you lot think? Quote
The G Man Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Got an email from my insurance company today, regarding having a green card for eu driving in the eu. That’s more to do with proving you have the minimum insurance requirements for pootling about in Europe rather than licence requirements. Brexit? Pile of unimaginable pooh, designed by David Cameron to avoid 10-15 seats lost from conservatives to UKip. 1 Quote

HEADPHONES Posted March 23, 2019 Author Posted March 23, 2019 It was one of the "mums" at my daughter's school. Not the most reliable of sources regarding motoring matters then Quote
NeeZ Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 If or when we leave you will need to get a IDP ( international driving permit) from the Post Office (£5-50) to drive in Europe. Quote
