Hi

Does any one know how easy it is to take the nissan 350z headlights apart, or has anyone tried doing this? i want to paint the grey headlight surrounds red, and just want to know if its a siple diy joy, or if its a little more complicated

thanks

Simple / easy, but risky.

Just oven / heatgun to warm them up so you can crack them open. Once you're done, it's just a case of resealing them, but if you've got to ensure a perfect seal or you'll get leaks.

Don't it loads of times. Misting can be a nightmare and unpredictable. I've used different silicones and bitumin rubber seals. Sometimes it works other times they most up. I've got a feeling it might be to do with the paint as well. Would today's water based paint hold moisture ?
