Spare wire

Hi, I have a 2004 350z gt just changed my head unit and realised there's a spare wire under fan control box. I'll post some photos. Thankyou cal

Would it possibly be for the steering wheel controls maybe?

The steering wheels control works everything is running fine. Just worried it's something important ha 😂

Rear camera? TBH I have no idea and to be fair my rear camera is a single wire so probably not.

It may not help but here's a photo of mine. How many connectors did you have to put in?looks like there should be 3.

 

I can only think of 3 maybe 4 controls points that would go in around there - Amp/Steering wheel controls for stereo/Steering wheel controls for bluetooth/Air con

 

I think at the point my photo was taken the aircon controls were still plugged into the white box and I think those controls are ribbons rather than wire plugs.

I just looked at the BOSE hack guide and there should be 3 plugs going into the stereo. See steps 10 & 35

I think the 3 connectors are AMP/Steering Wheel controls/OEM SAT. NAV.

The factory sat nav still works! And steerwheel controls are working. So confused hah

Heated seat loom? Has your car got leather? Looking at position of loom it would go down gearbox tunnel.

Havn`t found it in workshop manual yet, I`ll keep looking.
