Kharmon
Check the code, could be anything. It came on as soon as i installed them like with in 30seconds of running
Ekona
Okay, so likely you've got an air leak or a broken MAF or damaged wire or knocked the throttle body, but even so it could be anything. You need to read the codes, else it's guesswork.
Snjur
Have you played with throttle flap? If so that could be reason. If you don't have diagnostic tool on hand you can do a throttle calibration by yourself to eliminate that Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Kharmon
All fixed just had to disconnect the battery and the reconnect to reset the ecu went for a 20min drive and its stayed off 😀👠
Ekona
And now you have no idea what the code was, could've been something important. Why did you not just get it read?!
sipar69
Ten quid wifi dongle and a download of the free OBD Car Doctor app has been one of my best investments. It correctly diagnosed the common issue with HFCs and the check engine light on the Z and a faulty sensor issue on the Aygo.
GMballistic
And now you have no idea what the code was, could've been something important. Why did you not just get it read?! I have to agree with Dan you would have been much better checking the code Op just to be certain as to why it came on. I mean if you knew for example it was caused by a secondary O2 sensor fault after fitting HFC's or De-Cats then by all means reset the ECU and wipe the code but without knowing is a little haphazard. Hopefully it was nothing serious. Definitely worth following sipar69's suggestion imo.
Kharmon
I read on the american forum that it happens if you dont disconnect the battery during the install which i never .so dont worry the ecu just needed resetting. Will have a look in to getting one of them wifi dongles though sounds handy to have thanks👠
