Jammy007 Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 I'm considering wear and tear and also resale value on a GT-R that has potentially become available. Should I be worried about a 2013 GT-R with 38,000 miles on the clock? I'll only do around 4-5k a year and plan on keeping the car 2 year. Ideally I wanted one with under 30k on the clock. What's peoples thoughts and does anyone have any experience with how bulletproof these cars are up to 50-60k? Many thanks, Jamie Quote
ZMANALEX Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 (edited) Pretty bullet proof, however there are the characteristic issues which do crop up. FSH from NHPC or specialist Indy is critical as are the annual optimizations. Also power uprades, and transmission software upgrades are popular. I would not be to concerned about the mileage providing the above is in order, Here is a well sorted car which is up for sale; http://www.350z-uk.c...tion-stage-425/ Edited November 3, 2016 by ZMANALEX Quote
Payco Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Get yourself on GTR.co.uk and have a good read on the forum. Quote
STEVE K Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 A FSH is more important ditto number of owners than mileage. The GTR was built for track racing and time setting so 38-58k means zilch Quote

Jammy007 Posted November 4, 2016 Author Posted November 4, 2016 (edited) I'm ideally wanting a 2011 or upwards to get the yearly servicing, unless someone can say stop being stupid and just get a good example '09-10 plate . And thanks for the replies guys. Edited November 4, 2016 by Jammy007 Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 I thought the same when I bought mine, after speaking with a lot of owners, I went for the 2010 low mileage and low owners number, well looked after. I was very lucky, thanks to Graham in here. 2010 stage 4.25 will be cheaper than than standard 2011 (facelift) bog standard. You get a lot more for the money on a 2010 if you ask me. 2 Quote
Rock_Steady Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Just look up the DVLA MOT History check if you've got the REG. That's what i usually do when i'm not completely convinced of low mileage on 20 + year old cars. https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/?_ga=1.56822826.1085243479.1478508299 Quote
