Cheers pal, yeah always wanted to get a small group together to go out on track and where better than Donington Park Full GP layout. The Melbourne loop is no joke, never got it bang on at all. Conditions were both fun and scary at the same time 😅

Headlamp refresh as the darker nights roll in. Very well documented common problem, but a straightforward fix at least. Clean and degrease, 1500, 2000 & 3000 wet sand. 2 stage machine polish. Panel wipe and clear PPF applied to help with UV protection going forward.

 

Residue from the old tint film having been on for a number of years, took an age to remove using a tar & glue remover. Careful wet sanding in progress.

 

 

Nice uniform finish ready for machine polishing.

In a couple days I may look to ceramic coat the PPF to give it that extra protection.

Fresh from Japfest Silverstone 25' 

 

Early start and convoy down the show, realising they had in error sent me B12 instead of B4 made for an interesting discussion with the marshalls. All the cars on the club stand looked AMAZING!!  

 

For the size of Japfest we all kept bumping into each other serval times.

Rounding out 2025's updates for the ol girl. Since Japfest Silverstone 25' I've gone back to the 19's and carrying out a few maintenance tasks along the way. 

 

 

 

 

Late summer MOT had an advisory for the track rod ends, last pair only lasted 24 months so opted for an upgrade from gktech.

Alot better design of the gaiter

 

 

 

 

Then on for wheel alignment 

 

 

 

Noise from the rear tackled recently. A pair of Hayaku wheel bearings and assembly from Tarmacsports.

 

 

 

 

 

 

PBS track pads went back in as thought initially the noise from the rear might have been them. Turned out Donington was a bit to hard on the aged bearing on the passenger side rear.

 

 

 

Annual service was due also ahead of Japfest Silverstone next month.

 

 

 

 

Nismo filter off, new Nismo filter on. Gave her a wipe down whilst the ally under tray was off also, not looking too bad under there for very nearly 100,000 miles.
