Glass scratch removal

Can anyone recommend a good glass scratch removal product/method for deep ish scratches?

Seriously mate polishing glass is extremely difficult.

Curtting compound and a machine polisher is your best bet otherwise replace as previously mentioned.

if its a deep scratch - not a hope in hell - however some light scuffing might be removed with a polisher and some cerium oxide

are the scratches in the the door windows and vertical? its a known issue, don't think i've heard of anyone being able to get them out

Cutting compound won't do anything to glass beyond getting it quite clean. You'll need cerium oxide and rayon pads with a machine polisher to make any impact.

 

As Ricey alluded to, replace the glass or live with it. It's not worth the time, effort or expense of trying to fix.

Thanks for the advice guys, they were vertical but really bad. Just bought a security nd hand window, should be able to see through this one :-)

When you do fit the new glass, give the window mechanism a quick clean. The scratches are caused by the dirt on the window getting trapped on the brushes, so be sure to give them a clean otherwise you'll have the same problem again in future.

I have got scratches out of glass with paint cutting compound and a buffer on several occasions.
