Had them fitted earlier today, god they sound good! I just wondered if they need any sort of settling in period before giving it a thrashing?

they take a few hundred miles or so to coke up and sound better ............ but never heard of anything requiring them to "bed" in - there are no moving parts in there - you do know that ? :stir:;)

They'll take time to "coke" up and eventually they may sound a little different but as far as a run in procedure there isn't one. Just drive it as normal,

Sounds like typical rasp berks hfc's do :thumbs:

I was thinking that, but i can hear the rasp under load. Im not sure, its a strange sound. Like air hissing, especially when you blip it and lift off. Edited by Alex350z

it could also be the flexy on the Y-pipe vibrating at low-ish revs when you put your foot down, around 2500 rpm? Mine makes the same noise yours does. It's never been a problem.

How does the sound tend to change on the berks once they have done a few hundred miles?
