Dicky Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 If I wanted to recreate the type of ride I experienced when I bought the Z new, what would I need to replace. Would it just be springs and shockers or more? Quote
Dicky Posted May 7, 2016 Author Posted May 7, 2016 The car is in good nick generally for a 2004, however the ride seems a little less forgiving than it used to be, so I was wondering what I could do to get that old feeling back. I gather replacing springs and shocks isn't to big an ordeal, however replacing bushes and which ones seems a bit more of a job. Is there anything else....short of changing the driver of corse Quote
Rook Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Interesting thread, was having a similar thought recently. Steering was the other one for me. Just ever so slightly looser than I feel it should be... Quote
Mack Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 ive just had superpro bushes and coilovers fitted all round. The difference is amazing but the ride with the coilovers may not be to your taste. I would suggest changing the shocks and having the bushes inspected. The compression rod bushes are the ones that always seam to go. 1 Quote
davey_83 Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Steering rack poly bushes on my last car was a good upgrade 1 Quote
coldel Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Bushes everywhere, I recently replaced gear linkage bushes which improved the throw a touch, but enough for it to feel that bit tighter when switching gear. Quote
