hi,

Hope i'm doing this correctly but i'm just wondering if there is any interest in GLOW dials.

I'm made a few already for other cars like the fto and evo but not the 350z.

I don't have much techincal knowledge of the car although i am aware there are two types 350z the uk and import version which has different speeds and also the newer 2006 version which i'm not too sure if there any changes in the dials.

To give you an insight of my dials this was made back in 2006, this is primary a white dial but lights up like this

unlit it like this

newer version

Prices varies from 40-50 quid plus postage but depends on numbers, for this price i'm looking at an order of 30 orders. Manu time is about 6-8 weeks.

I already supply dials to jdm performance and the fto club.

thanks for reading this and if i'm in the wrong, sorry.

Looks interesting, but I'd like to see how much effort there is in installing these in a Zed. I've read a few threads on the US site about swapping dials and they seem to suggest its a bit of a fecker. Have you had any experience with them?

I'd definately be interested if the install isnt too difficult as I have a head unit which has a blue glow to it already and this would match nicely

I'd be interested , but only if you can fit them to the units.. as in the past I have experienced difficulty removing the needles from spindles on some Jap gauges without actually damaging the things :)

Im very interested especially if you can get it to look exactly like the first picture, but rather than white backing, have black back, let me know a price fitted and Ill have one

You would have to change all the lights in the cabin though as you will have those in blue and the other in orange

This is where it becomes a sod. I looked into chaning all my lights to blue, but seeing the thread on the US forum where guys have done it, it is a mission. From what I can see, all the lights under switches and behind dials are LEDs, soldered to the boards directly. So swapping them means un-soldering them all and soldering the new ones back in :scare:

I just realised with these glow dials, its going to look odd as you're gonna have all blue dials but the digi readouts on the guages (trip computer and odo) is still gonna be orange because of the backlight :surrender:

The fto dials are alot easier to fit because it fits over the existing one thus removing the need to remove and adjust the needles. In the zed you have transparent icons in the dials itself which needs to be addressed, but i hope to over come this problem once i get my hands on a pod.

Owners may need to remove/cut the old dials or i can have square holes cut out in the glow dials, dunno yet.

usually the problem with glo dials is getting the needles to show up, i know a few people have used dayglo paint on them, is this a problem you have encountered ?

cheers

The glow dials has got nothing to do with the lighting of the needles as the dials are not dependent of the bulbs. So if the lighting is weak then the glow dials will overcome the needles.

i realise that but because the dails are lit from behind the needles sometimes cant be seen clearly, this the main complaint esp on dub forums

It would be nice to contact the admin/mod before trading on here if you see the terms and conditions with in this section.

Good luck with getting the numbers together
