370z update and finding a problem part

Afternoon guys... my inugural post.

I have a 2011 370z which I'm going to invest some cash in to smarten up in the very near future...

- invidia Gemini exhaust

- berk high flow cats

- spacers

- window tints

- front body kit (Stillen)

- better side skirts

- complete respray

- spray alloys (and replace with something sweet later)

- duck bill spoiler and a couple of other bits and pieces.

Looking forward to getting the work done.

Now for the bit I'm having a problem with. Basically, the plastic handle that opens the bonnet on the drivers side has snapped. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? I've been advised that the only other alternative is to order from Japan with a 3-4 week lead time at an exorbitant cost of £140-£150.

Or if anyone is breaking up a 370 and doesn't want that bit, please get in touch.

Cheers, and have a great day.

Hi Paul,

Glad you decided to join the forum! Let's hope we can find your used part here on the forum.

Have a look at this list with ebay breakers too:

worth contacting them and ask if they have anything like that.

Meanwhile I'll ask Nissan see what they can do for us.

Adrian

Any pictures of the broken part. It may be, the bonnet release cable & leaver is not specifict to the 370 and maybe that one off a 350, Qashqui or Juke may fit.

Thanks chaps... here are some pics of the part,,,

As you can see the plastic just snapped.

The cable is intact…

The plastic part just clips over the wire.

Looks nice in grey with black wheels, very shiny paint there! Im still after a roadster, ideally grey, but getting tempted by a Coupe (due to the lack of decent Roadsters!)

As for the part, if you can't find it, you can probably make something that looks and works better ;-)
