Recommend me a garage in south Hampshire

As per the the title.... I have a big service coming up and really struggling to find someone to service my car that I can trust and rely on..... I had a minor service at Smile in Hilsea last year but worried about a big service with them.

 

Please help.

These guys are worth a look: https://www.facebook.com/southcoastworkshop They don't specialise in zeds, or even Nissans but decent prices and they do like their jap motors.

Or a bit further afield are TGM (http://www.tgmsport.co.uk/) who are Honda specialists, but properly know their way around a motor.

Can recommend south coast workshop - they fitted my new springs to the Celica (which is what they specialise in) but Barry who works there is a super competent mechanic and was in the middle of building a monster GT4 as well as doing an RB25 engine swap into an S15 when I was there so really knows his way around Japanese cars. Prices generally are pretty reasonable as well.

I wouldn't take my cars to anyone but Tom at TGM. He is a Honda specialist and does stuff for BTCC teams and competes in 24 hour endurance races. He is a genius and a great guy to boot. He does lots of other Jap cars especially 350z/Skylines. He also loves 350z's and told me to buy one

they do ramp hire too right? You don't happen to know if it's a hire ramp & tools place or just the ramp do you? Prefer to do consumables myself but limited with space and tools down South!

They definitely hire out the ramp (Grundy on here used it last year) not sure about the tools, they might do if you ask.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I've heard good things about TGM but it is quite far for me to travel and wait about. South Coast Workshop is only 5 mins from my work .

 

I think I will give South Coast a try this time. Looking at Facebook they look like a very competent garage.

He's really good. We hired a ramp to swap my y pipe. I used my own tools. He's reluctant to lend you his as people wonder off with them. Nice bloke too

Useful to know, looks like that's about a 15 minute walk from my house!
