checkers88 Posted August 29, 2015 Share Posted August 29, 2015 So I've just received my 30mm front and rear wheel spacers in the post and after spending much time fitting them I've noticed that I get wobble through my steering above 30mph. They don't rub or catch, i wire brushed the hub and copper greased the bolts etc. They seemed to fit snuggle enough even though they aren't hub centric ones but I can't think why they are wobbling. I didn't have a torque wrench so they were hand tightened so possibly this could be a culprit? Any ideas? P.S sorry if this has been covered. IMHO, I think 30mm front and rear might not be ideal and it's putting more stress on your wheel bearings. Try removing them and test drive to see if this will still happen? Tricky-Ricky Posted August 29, 2015 Share Posted August 29, 2015 Although the std wheel nut tapers should in theory locate the wheel centrally, its most likely the lack of a central locater that's causing the slight misalignment and resulting wobble.
