  1. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System? Do we have this? If I remember correctly it's a legal requirement in the US after some idiot successfully sued after they had a tyre blow out. The cause was found to be incorrect tyre pressures but the idiot managed to win the case because there was no warning system to tell him the tyre pressures were incorrect..... Bloody yanks....
  2. Great to have a chat with you all Have to say that after standing around in the cold for that long i'm glad that the zed warms up quickly once you start the engine
  3. See you at 20:00 I'll be in the chilli red names mark
  4. I have a pink pass and will be able to get there as well I'll have to come and have a nosey at your carputer Chris, all my bits are here now, just waiting for somebody reliable to make me a custom faceplate (two companies have agreed to do it so far and both just stopped talking after saying they could do it.... ). Be very interested in seeing how you have got everything in and know what problems you came across.
  5. Depends what you mean by fly into..... If you mean in a terrorist type way I can highly recommend Glasgow airport, you may even get a visit from John Smeaton and get to experience him "putting the boot in" first hand!!!!

    Whoa!

    Ack looks so wrong...
  8. Thr problem is that CO2 is not the major cause of global warming. The major cause is water vapour. CO2 has an effect but is very small in comparison and also is a logarithmic scale that we are at the top of already. In other words we almost have the maximum warming effect that CO2 will provide anyway and pumping more CO2 into the atmosphere is really not going to change anything, one the graph goes flat we can pump as much as we like into the atmosphere with no effect. Do you ever see climatologists trying to work out ways of reducing water vapour in the air? Do you see the government stopping mass building of flats and removal of green space in built up areas to help trap water vapour before it goes up into the sky? I even saw one wonderful idea where we pump more water into the atmosphere to try and soak up CO2, even though the water vapour does more damage!!! I am a firm believer that climate change is the latest fad to try and control the population with. Don't want somebody to do something, tell them they are destroying the planet and make them feel so guilty they stop. Want to raise more money? Invent a green tax because people can't complain about saving the world..... Cynical? Me? maybe, doesn't mean I'm wrong though.......
  9. I think the nav screen is a very low res which isn't the most useful.

  11. Who did you get to fabricate it? I'm having problems finding somebody who will create a convex piece, most want to do a flat one.
  12. I'm currently looking at getting a mount made to replace the cubby hole panel and using the double din hole to house an alpine crossover, and maybe a custom single plate for a reset button, and a couple of USB ports.
  13. I now know why nobody sue's for injuries in China.....
  14. Some blurry pictures from me and the missus here: http://www.collin.uk.com/JTS%202008/ I meant to get some of all the zed's lined up but by the time I got back from EDC and helping pack everything into my wife's car there were only 2 left

    Jdm limit

Mine hovers just before the 120MPH mark when it cuts the power. I read that JDM's were limited to 118 somewhere which I would guess is realistic since everybody is getting around the 120MPH indicated mark. Then of course all our speedo's may be rubbish
  16. Well I got dragged off with the wife and kids to watch the EDC and by the time I got back everybody had gone Nice to see lots of 350z's though
  17. Yup, you should get a JUMVEA that states the mileage in KM when it was put up for auction and your first MOT should have the mileage in KM on it (mine does). When SVA get thier hands on it they will stick a black stocker over the K on the speedo and convert it from KM to Miles. Your mileage can't be clocked back so that it shows the mileage in miles because this would be illegal, so the first 23,000 will be KM and every mile after that will be miles. So 14,291 miles for your 23,000 km add to that 17,000 miles and the car has done just over 31,000 miles. Took me a while to get my head round it at first as well
  18. Saw you on the way to getting a new tyre, was past you before I had a chance to flash though
  19. Supposed to be much the same but fade quicker I think: http://www.zeckhausen.com/Testing_Brakes.htm#Summary I'm assuming the above link is relevant even though it is American.
  20. Parked next to you, but you were there longer than me
  21. So you'll be the guy at the meet with the black eye hey
  22. I think I have read that they modified the 2006 sat nav so that it was flush fitting, but i'm not sure (never seen one myself). Don't know if the 2006 stuff will fit in an older car. Could always grab a 2003 cluster: http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=4445&rsku=19189 Or try here for 2006 stuff: http://www.courtesyparts.com/betasite/3 ... 1_773.html
