  1. Make that a definite for me (Pink pass has been granted )
  2. Thank you very much One less newbie question to ask
  3. Right I am now positive that I have MY06 lights, however one question still remains does anybody know how these work? Do they have two separate light, or a mechanical plate that covers the top half?
  4. Did they start doing that in September 2005, or before? Mine is definitely a 2004 model according to the JUMVEA, it's on a 54 plate so I'm assuming an initial registration of around September 2004.
  5. Could prolly get there for 21:00ish if you will still be about at that time.
  6. I have a JUMVEA stating year of registration is 2004 and according to DVLA it was first registered in the UK in December 2007. I was told that it had an LED lights option which I assumed was just the rear, I'm just not sure what the front ones are. From what is being said I'm guessing they were upgraded as well. I still have no idea if they are HID or not though.
  7. It's a 54 plate, not a 06 (would have been an amazing bargain of it was an 06 ). As far as I was aware there were two different sorts of light types that handled full beam in different ways: One that has a full beam bulb and a normal bulb. One that has a bulb that is obstructed by a flap that moves up and down to give you normal and full beam. I was assuming that HID was the latter but I may be making all of this up My full beam is currently not working hence me trying to work out what sort of lights I have.
  8. 32,000 miles and 4 owners ? That would start the alarm bells ringing with me. implies lots of people have bought it, found out it's fecked and got rid of it sharpish....
  9. that OK, or do you need a close up one of the lens? (Click on it for the bigger version)
  10. May be a dumb question, but how do I tell what headlights I have. I have a JDM so I'm assuming they would originally have been HID lights, but I have no idea if they were removed and replaced, or swapped out and then back to HID for the SVA. How do you tell the difference?
  11. IMHO the best one available is the 50" Pioneer Kuro that does a native resolution of 1920 * 1080. Blows everything else out of the water, unfortunately it comes in at a shade over £3,000
  12. Just bought a JDM here and I'm being stiffed for £400/year Ah well, the smile on my face is worth it
  13. A distinct possibility as it's only 10 mins away from me
  14. I know, hence why I'm going to have to have a moan that I'm paying £220 for 6 months when by all accounts I should be getting a full years worth of tax for that..... Anyway I shall stop my off topicness now
  15. That's what it says in this months EVO. Even more reason to get an import Annoyingly mine is a JDM. I'll have to have a moan but i'm guessing it probably won't get me to far...
  16. There is that, but isn't that the norm to hear the V6 growl?
  17. I would have thought it wouldn't really make much difference to the economy, surely it's just pushing more cool air in... (unless the ECU is pushing more petrol in to keep the air:fuel ratio...)
  18. Can you provide more info, taxed mine on Sat using the DVLA's website and got stung for £220 for 6 months . I would have gone for the full year but would rather have the money coming out in October than this time of year.
  19. Had the eldest and his car seat strapped into the passenger side as I drove it home yesterday, he loved every minute. Thankfully the wife has a Corolla Verso so we can all pile in that for family days out. Modding while have to wait a while, need to pay off the cost of the car first, but I'll probably tinker with it a bit when i can afford it First on the cards is a new stereo as the jap one had already been removed when I got it (it apparently had sat nav in it originally), not a great loss from what I have read so far.
  20. Mine has a stopwatch though!! No sure how useful it could be. I can't really imagine trying to time 0-60's with one hand on the gearstick, one on the button to start/stop the stopwatch and using your knees to steer....
  21. I have one behind drivers seat and one on passenger side under the cup holder (nearly in the footwell).
