I haven't used chemicals due to the potential seal damage or hot water because of cracks but cold water worked fine on my windows the other da when there was frozen snow on my car. It worked on the mirrors as well which were frozen closed!

Whilst this may be because a) I'm blinded by my hate for them and / or I've forgotte nwhat my Fiesta was like to drive & I'm comparing it to the Zed but I think that the high driving position made me feel precariously balanced, and thus lack confidence to drive it properly, I mean I was looking down at people in Mondeo's!!!
I think a petition is needed because correct me if I'm wrong but heated front windscreens are only available on Fords because they've patented the technology, I'm not a fan of that at all!
Good call, sticking with the same mobile company despite threatening to leave usually gets similar results, I knocked my monthly fee with O2 down from £27.50 to £20 and only paid £20 for my new handset rather than the £160 that they originally wanted by threatening to join Vodafone. I can top the rain, the day after I got mine I drove Bristol - London in a Blizzard!
Based on this morning what happens is that you use lots of cold water on the top of the door where the window meets the roof and the same around the handle and then hey presto you'll be in within 5 minutes. Start the engine let it all warm up and while that's happening do the same on the electric mirrors and then you'll be able to fold them out as well!
Had a nightmare trying to get into work this morning, when I finally managed to get into the car I realised that the electric mirrors were frozen closed!
Driving back down the M4 at about midnight wasn't much fun either (especially as we'd been robbed of victory over Sheffield United by Rob ruddy Styles!)
