is it just me that found the vx 220 turbo a huge dissapointment?? My brother had one for about a year and I used it more than him in the summer, yes the steering feel and handling were fantastic but the engine had so many flat spots, sounded awful and never felt mind blowingly quick like all the press say. I believe a remap makes alot of difference and cures the known flat spot but still myself, my brother and my dad included all agreed on this view and my dad has a histroy of caterhams so he used to the whole big go-kart thing. So he sold it and bought this....which on paper is similar to the vx but made it feel like it was stood still no matter the road or corner!

Wilky, I didnt think i'd get a response to this thread! It looked very slippy at the start, my friend was the one in the green rover metro with the vtec engine in it...so i went to help him out in garage. That GTR was just incredible, the way it accelerated out of bends made everything else look like it was going backwards!! Will be sure to come and say hello next time...enjoy croft! Si

my mate had his 318ti chipped years ago on an e36 coupe and it made a suprising difference. He had the ac schnitzer backbox which i am guessing is expensive but did sound lovely.

I am abit confused as to whether i need to order a seperate fascia panel in order to make this head unit fit neatly?? Danyboyj, did you try using the one that came with the pioneer?
