  1. Well, Well, Well, what a nice surprise, Great to have you back Liam. Yes, I am still here, helping members out when I can, but not on the same scale as the good old days, what a blast they were, miss them. More into GTR R35s and prestige stuff these days, but a completely different ball game and people with a completely different mindset. I still have my track 350 and also my R35, but mostly use the truck as my daily. Hope that you and the family are well and are all enjoying life. Alex.
  2. Both the kits in your links will fit your DE. However, why buy from USA when you have loads of options in the UK. Consider how you are going to handle any potential warranty issues and return shipping costs. There are dozens of clutch kit options available for your application. Your choice will much depend on your driving style and if you plan to track the car. You may also consider swopping out the DMF when you have the box out, as some of the noise may be coming from that, as well as your bearing.
  3. You should get most of the information and schematics that you require from the factory workshop manual. This would be a good starting point. Perhaps have a look for a breaker.
  4. Perhaps time to get the complete roof off to fully assess the damage, and a few hours of fabrication should get you sorted.
  5. Sealant around the seals is not a good plan. You should be looking to find the root cause and not carrying out a bodge. The warping is not pretty, but with a good ribbed gasket and proper sealant then I would not expect an external oil leak, however, best to replace them. If a customer of mine returned these to me, my initial reaction would be that they have been overtorqued and possibly also the tightening procedure may not have been followed, however, as a good will gesture, I would replace them this one time free of charge. It concerns me more that you are having persistent oil entering the spark plug tube apertures, which has got to be more than just a coincidence, which leads me to come to the conclusion that if the seals are good and the tubes are good and all things being equal, then you may have an internal crack on the cyl head/heads, which I have seen on a few occasions. Might be time to pull those heads and get them to a machine shop. Nothing more to add than to wish you Good Luck.
  6. I have sold hundreds of these covers and never had a warping issue, so I can not provide any informed input on that one. I assume that you are using the correct torque sequence procedures? Oil seals are a common failure, and replacing the seals or replacing the complete cover is the only option, I am afraid. I would be looking very closely at the tubes, checking for any damage which may effect proper contact with the oil seals. The tube failures are not a common issue and any damage is usually self inflicted. The covers that I sell come with a 12 month parts warranty for mechanical failure or manufacturing defects. I do not know what warranty came with the eBay covers that you bought, but it may be worth contacting your eBay seller.
  7. So it looks like you have two issues: 1 being the "warping" of the covers between the bolt holes, causing an external oil leak and the other being the spark plug tube oil seal failures, causing oil to leak into the spark plug apertures. The aperture is the area where the spark plug is located, where the oil is pooling.
  8. I don't quite get your story. Are you saying that the face of the cover, which holds the rubber gasket in place is "warping"? If that were the case, then you would have a severe external oil leak from that area. Please post up, an image of the "warped" cover clearly showing the "warp" using a metal straight edge. Just to be clear, are you saying that all spark plug apertures are filling with engine oil?
  9. When does your 370 reach an over temperature situation?
  10. Sold hundreds of these without any issues whatsoever. VQ35DE and HR cam cover kits are in stock and good to go same/next day. Just drop me a pm if I can help further.
  11. More info required. When does it reach an over temperature situation? Are you N/A or forced induction?
