  1. They really should know better...! It's the camber of the road in the UK most likely causing this 'issue'. They all slope away to the edges so they drain properly, but this means that you need to turn the wheel fractionally to account for it. Find an empty piece of road and try driving on the wrong side: My guess it that it'll go away to the other side Of course, they may just not have set the car up correctly, but I'd try this first.
  2. This man speaketh the truth. Myself and my best mate Mark often do trackdays together, and it'll be a mix of Impreza, 911, MX5 and Caterham. No matter what he's driving, if I passenger with him then I can only do a few laps before I have to get out, else I'll barf all over his interior. By his own admission he's far from a smooth driver, quick but very abrupt with his inputs, and it makes for a horrible ride. Not just me that has that issue, other friends of ours who have been out with both of us (often in the same vehicle) make the same comment. I'm much smoother so they'll happily pax with me, and Mark's binary input driving means they tend not to stay out with him for very long. I would imagine that it's your own inputs that are causing the car to move around far too much and upsetting your brain, and making you feel sick. There's no easy cure apart from practice, but that along with the medicine should help. I wouldn't bother doing any upgrades to 'cure' this just yet, until you'll done at least one more TD (airfield if you want, as it's cheaper) and taken some tuition. Definitely get a CG Lock though, I use one in all my vehicles as they're brilliant and for £35, you can't go wrong.
  3. I did say there was snow... Probably not a patch on what you get though, but trust me, in a 2WD 911 it's really not much fun! And just to prove that it's really not all bad: Like I said, the two extremes of the weather yesterday.
  4. Old Bournes. New Bourne not so hot.
  5. I was with you all the way until Avatar. That is the the biggest waste of time in modern cinema. Average viewer in 3D: "OH WOW, LOOK AT ALL THE PRETTYNESS! THIS IS BRILLIANT!!!" Average viewer in 2D: "Wait, what the f*ck? Where's the story and the acting? This is pompous nonsense." Truth.
  6. I fell asleep in the cinema watching Gladiator. I don't mind it so much these days though.
  7. Bladerunner is one of the worst films I've ever seen. Yes, it's arty and well shot, but the plot, acting and especially the pacing is dreadful. It took me 5 attempts to get through the SUper Mega Director's Wankfest Cut or whatever one it was just to see it all. On the other hand, I rate Independance Day and Jurassic Park as probably my two bestest filsm ever. I could never get bored of watching either. I also like most rom-coms, especially ones with Katherine Heigl in. And not just 'cos she's pretty.
  8. Cheers dude, it really was worth it when the roads got good. How awesome would that have been in the dry?!

    Neither, engine dyno only.
  10. I did, I just wasn't paying attention
  11. Only unedited snippets for now, good stuff comes when I get home and have time
  12. Somewhere without any snow I hope! Should be down the coast past Barcelona, but at this stage anything could happen! Got a couple of vids from yesterday ready to go up in a min, I'll hopefully get the others from today up tonight too.
  13. Day 3 I thought yesterday was crap. How wrong I was. Woke up, still raining, grab some breakfast and head out. Today should have seen me crossing the Pyrenees into Spain, however someone had other ideas for me. Now, can anyone tell me what happens when it's raining, and you go up a mountain, and the temperature drops to sub zero? Any one? Yes, it snows. Of course it f*cking does, and why I couldn't figure that out for myself I've no idea. If it wasn't for some very kind French man who spoke perfect English and happened to be stopped in his own car at the very point of no return, I'd have likely got myself stuck in the 5 inches of snow that had settled right at the very peak. I was literally 95% of the way across the mountain when I had to turn back, 2 hours wasted. I thought that was the end of the bad luck. It wasn't. My route took me on a detour to Andorra, seeing as how it was so close to my hotel (30 mins) and I'd never been there. Well, now I've been there twice, and I can safely say it's a f*cking sh*thole. Drove all the way through, stunning sunshine on the Spanish side to snow again on the French side, went through the toll tunnel and started working my way down the mountain to discover the other toll tunnel was shut, and the only route round was back over the mountain in more snow. Sod that. So I turned around, and wasted another 1.5 hours travelling back through sh*tty Andorra to finally get to my hotel. Which is far too posh and doesn't have anything palatable on the menu. Arse. On the upside, I spent a good 6 hours at least on some of the best mountain roads I've ever driven in my life, in glorious sunshine. I can't wait until you guys see the videos, these roads were incredible and there were loads of them!
  14. Probably as much of a boss as Will felt when he was winding everyone up and sticking his neck out at every opportunity, I guess.
  15. ...which made f*ck all difference as everything still went tits up on the first day!
  16. Noice one geezah
  17. Couldn't be any worse, that's for sure! Got the wifi working now, will see if I can get the vids up, or at least a couple of them.
  18. Oh man, what a day! No wifi here sadly so I can't upload my video diaries, but suffice to say I've had better days. Heavy rain almost all the way down, which limits your speed obviously so that didn't help. Stupid c*nting satnavs taking me through the centre of frickin' Paris, delaying me by a good 90 mins, then putting me through the centre of Toulouse as well...! Not impressed. Hotel check in was closed, but Jo rang then and they left the key out for me so at least I have a bed tonight. No restaurant here, but I found the Golden Arches so all is good and my belly is full Hit Calais at 8am, got to hotel at 8:30pm and the only time I stopped was for the single fuel stop. Yup, that's 12.5 hours of solid driving. I'm fooked. I'll sleep well tonight, then attack the fun roads in the morning!
  19. I needed something to help me sleep, and it worked a treat! Missed the whole of the second half, although 'missed' is a relative term by all accounts... Day 2 It's not even 5am, and I'm up and getting ready. My crossing is at 6:50 assuming no delays, and that 35 mins in the tunnel should give me plenty of time to set the GoPro up for action. Weather looks shite, but I have Snoop Dogg's back catalogue to keep me occupied on the long trip down to Pau.
  20. Not me guv, I was M11/M25/M20. Common as muck these 911s, I tell ya!
  21. Good way to start the holiday I reckon...
  22. You'll love them, just as much feel but with a billionty times more grip and far longer lasting.
