Spokes are powdercoated anthracite, the entire inside of the wheel is also powder coated and the part of the dish that contains the RAYS ENGINEERING FORGED writing is also powder coated. The rest from there to the lip has been refurbed and looks like a diamond cut finish on it and polished up. Will get some close ups this weekend.

Leave it where is is mate, its better there, but happy for you to try my typhoon on there to see if there is a difference as I wanted to try out a long tube! 50/50 I would say. Short ram gives shorter intake tract, but gives more heat soak. Longer means the car has to suck harder to get air, but the pay off is much colder air and less heatsoak. When moving, short ram would be better (slightly) but when stop starting, long would be better. If you have an OBD reader, you could play with both and see what difference it makes. On any other car, you might expect intake temps and aiflow (CFM) to change, but as the Zed is FBW, I expect all you will see change is the intake temps Would the air not heat up anyway as it travel up the pipe? So although the air coming in at the filter is much colder, as the pipe is sitting in prime location in the engine bay for heatsoak, it heats up the air travelling up it?

This old chestnut again, 'stay away from imports'. if the car is quality and has been imported properly then it shouldn't matter one bit. Mine was a top grade import, previous owner did a cracking job sourcing UK spec parts such as interior bits, brembo's, Rays. I'm the exact same price to ensure my JDM as I was for a UK, less than £200 a year road tax and the car has been to Nissan dealers since I owned it and they had zero problems carrying out work on it.

Did you buy the full cold air intake or was it just the short ram one you went for?

I reckon they'd be repairable. Just had mine done and they prob weren't far off that, except without the bit hanging off. That just looks odd!!
