  1. If its anything like what this omnia 1 sitting next to me is like then bin it. burn it, run over the useless piece of crap. Its been nothing but bother. If you do go for it make sure the this new one can have the device memory expanded into the storage memory or at least a bigger memory to start with. 90MB is as much good as a pee in the wind. Hiya Oh dear trouble at mill? Mines been spot on but then I've modded it beyond recognition? No Samsung Wiggets or boggo windows mobile stuff - got SPB mob shell amongst a shed load of other stuff - Tom Tom satnav etc etc - PM me with your troubles maybe I can help fix them for you - just make sure you are on the latest ROM version ? Its the best phone for winter especially with SATNAT on - you can warm your hands nicely off the battery!
  2. to the forum mate - nice looking Zed
  3. No worries mate just messing! Yes the are the same in the prefacelift model I think -only difference is the cover is spring loaded not hinged?
  4. Contracts finishes soon. Have the original Omnia now but wondered if the Omnia 2 or HD are worth the fuss. Oh and no don't want an Iphone!!
  5. Well yes and no mate....its only worth buying ready made covers if you can save the labour cost but for the difference in price you may as well get real leather and have it done for you.......ha
  6. As I have posted numerous times - its the labour and skill your paying for the materials are actualy quite cheap by comparison. It takes time to remove and strip down the original seat, then you have to fit the new cover (pray it was made properly and will fit without messing) then put everything back - its really not hard but it is time consuming. My old boss was in the game for 50 years and it still took him 2 days to do this kind of job - but his work was second to none. So thats what you pay for. Good luck with what you decide but personally I would get them covered in Leather by a trimmer from scratch- let them do it themselves it will work out the same price and at least any issues they can fix there and then for you
  7. Good point... theres no more room for anything else down my trousers
  8. Oi!! Nicking my pictures! Why not phone that guy that was flogging that written off Zed on Fleabay last week - you know the one - light damage to 1 side - i.e no fe*** bodywork on 1 side! Good luck with your search - failing that pop in a model shop and buy some Slaters Plasticard (if they still sell it) and cut it to shape - think you can get it in different colours?? Hope this helps?
  9. Looks pretty but imagine that down your trousers - people would think were thinking about other things !!
  10. Nice one Greg I know its a shame you had to let it go but I totally understand why (same situation for me !) At least you know it will be used and enjoyed again now
  11. By eck you lot get tha sens off to a gathering in York and talk Zeds all night!
  12. Ok mate short answers then - Leatherette will make you sweat in those seats - the Zed is a hot car at the best of times. Replacing the original covers with those should be an easy job - just take your time and ensure you have very strong fingers to pull the covers over tighter than Gordon Browns wallet! You will also probably have to remove hog rings from the seat base and squab these hold the flat panels inplace - not hard just fiddly - get a decent set of pliers for that - all in all - easy if you take your time.
  13. I know what you mean Bronzee - this is getting more and more common place as people think that they are the most important people in the world and THEIR time is more precious than yours - dont let it get to you - as long as we dont turn into those people we should be fine. Just bite your lip and let it ride over your shoulder - you know you did the right thing - thats all that matters and the chap you let in will appreciate your curtosy
  14. STOMIL - blinkin eck not heard that name in years - literally means 100miles in Polish!
  15. ooer just read this thread- well Nixy like I told you ages ago there are a lot of good people on this forum who like you and want you to get involved with meets etc - so the least you can do is throw them a party for them - ha ha ha ha!!!!
