  1. nismo's arnt that bad at all, iv had mine well over 18months now and they get used all year round and sit outside all year round on the car no matter what the weather as i cant get it in a garage, as long as you wash them often and every month or so give them a wax you'l be amazed how they stand up, im sure many guys on here can vouch for how well mine have kept
  2. due to my clutch and flywheel going at the wrong bloody time
  3. iv had a feature in total nissan when i was on there stand at silverstone in 2008 at JTS and won car of the month early on last year in japanese performance hopefully with the next few mods done the Zed might pop up in a few other places O and not forgetting was voted Mr.October in 2009
  4. Hundred quid more? Im only talking about a plastic ring that just covers the edge there must be a firm that churns these out for pence and sells them for know more than a bloody tenner Its only a plastic ring
  5. welcome to the forum buddy got some friends down on jersey hoping to go visit them this summer!! he's got a evo 7 quite heavliy modified !!
  6. thats why i didnt have the glossy wrap as it tears very easily unless theres a new one on the market, just hoping the bodyshop can work wonders on mine then it'll be totally different again
  7. Dont get me wrong BM the gloss black looks good but you will always be able to tell its vinyl and not painted! For the best look its gotta be painted but like you say its good just to be able to remove it
  8. this is how mine was in 2008 shows it with the gloss black roof and limo tint rear glass to which mark doesnt show so gives more of a flow between the two IMO But then changed it, as rich said to the CF vinyl as there were quite alot of going with the black roof, must admit with it as it is it doesnt look quite as good as its a matt effect so you loose all the shine but im going to try and have it lacquered next month to get the deep shine to it, if its possible
  9. its like why do they ask you if youv had a claim within the last few years or so if your still on PNCB?! Then you say yes but iv still got PNCB so what does it matter and there reply well we still have to put it through as a claim, its like well no you dont as thats the reason i protected them in the first place and as long as i dont claim more than twice in the year it shouldnt matter to my following years no claims discount, but i bet it does
  10. im protected to and they said you can have two claims within the year and it wont effect your premium the following year i find this hard to believe! any1 done this and seen if the premium hasnt been effected the following year?
  11. you should be buying 19's rich 18's are lost on the Zed!! if your thinking to leave the rim protector on all the time i think it could look abit tacky as it will just obviously look stuck on IMHO
  12. ill give them a call tommorrow see if there going to do any larger sizes soon and if anyone else is interested could always buy and set and split them four ways
  13. 17's what the point in that could understand if they start at 17's but to finish at that size
  14. most do mike and they use plastic shims to hold the base of the wheel its just when there fitting some of the larger tyres 295/30 etc the huge amounts of pressure needed same as on smallers one at times can cause the machine to pull onto the rim which also has a plastic shim, im just thinking of the worse and prob being over protective but it all helps
  15. thought id get that reaction but does anyone know where i can get one?
  16. and this is not in conjunction with nurrish's rim wax With time nearing to change my tyres im obviously nervous about the tyre fitters damaging the rim (which they assure me they wont but you can never gurantee 100%) and was speaking with a guy a while ago that said with most 'expensive' wheels and with some high end car makers i.e porsche, ferrari, etc they use a rim (wheel) guard which is just a plastic trim that fits over the rim to eliminate any chance of damage!! Just wondered if any of you guys with wheels had one or had used one before and if so where to get them from
  17. so you'll be keeping the racing towing eye in there permanant and mounting to the back of that? aslong as the towing eye doesnt pertrude to far?
  18. iv got bright white (which have a tint of blue in them) 501's in the rear number plate, front sidelights, interior boot and 2x 30mm festoon in the cabin and all look especially over the number plate
  19. i regret in a way buying the first zed i came across also even though it was a great spec at a price i could afford at the time, i got every problem going skipping bose, left speaking cutting out, boot that wouldnt stay up, clicking rear axle, a clutch and flywheel that only lasted three months after gettin the zed and the paintwork was in a real bad way with the engine bay being disgusting but now she's a totally different Zed gone with all those problems way behind me and with a engine bay from this to this

  23. fancy buying some nismo's in august
  24. that sucks i guess it's the price you pay for not having fully comp insurance... good luck getting your 350z (i don't even want to know what your premium on that is going to be!) shouldnt be anymore than normal id have thought as he didnt claim, and i bet a S200 is about the same money as a Z to insure! rooled it a few times ..................... surprised you werent badly hurt matey
