  1. Got a mate that is a nightclub photographer in Copenhagen, and oh my....it's like sweden, only closer, lol

I have a lot of business in Scandinavia so go out there quite a lot. Swedish girls are gorgeous, but the Danish girls are gorgeous and incredibly approachable. Weve just picked up work in Finland as well .............

Oh, and that Swedish club? Pictures dont do it justice ;):D

  2. Anyone else get a text at about 20:10 last night inviting them to a wife swapping party?? :D

Thought it was fairly good, but cant see how the Beemer is the one to buy (although I think its much nicer looking too) ;)

The glamour girl just had my tongue hanging out for most of the time she was on screen.

sure it was your tongue?

If it was anything else I think the missus would have detached it. I had to wear sunglasses so she couldnt see me perving as it was ;) D

Oooh bugger thats torn it - just google image'd her. Ill be back in 20 minutes lads. :cloud9:

  4. The rims are lacquered I think but you'll find most polished wheels are - the ones that are just metal are impossible to use in winter. I use Autoglym professional wheel cleaner - you dont want to be using it too often but its amazing for getting road shyte off.

  5. Nice to see a man who has clearly done his reasearch before buying

The price on the barracudas sounds good to me - you probably already know that a set of VS-XX are a lot more than that, and if you prefer the style its a no brainer. I wouldnt worry too much about the polished lip - as long as you dont neglect them too badly you should be OK - I run Gram Lights with polished lips and even though they go like this:

in the depth of winter, with a bit of love they come back to this:

You sound like your mind is made up, but Id also have a quick check of http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/pages/wheels_billet.html Image wheels - custom made so you can specify offsets, widths, fittings, lip style - everything. You can also buy one replacement if you happen to hit a very solid rabbit or something ;):D

Billet 102 looks rather familiar, dont you think?? ;):D

  6. Heres my fav so far, esp for our driftworks friends! ;)

    http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/ ... topic=3640

Because rims dont need protecting

"Lateral forces could rip the tyre off the rim"?? Yarp - we dont go sideways at all when drifting, and when we do the tyres ALWAYS fly off the rim ......... :headhurt: Its the usual scaremongering without real life experience - look up "welded diff" as well :bangin:

As for rims needing protecting, Id argue that if you can actually drive then you can actually avoid kerbs ;):D

  7. My local dealer is Marshall in Cambridge and they say its no problem to arrange a test drive. They are also a GTR dealer :D

I had a look at one the other day and thought the interior was streets ahead of the Z33, but wasnt taken by the rest of it really. Wheels are poor, frankly - weak offsets, large arch gaps and not a great design IMO, and it seems to have lost a lot of the simplicity of design of the Z33, which is what drew me to it in the first place.

Ill be taking one for a run soon and will report back, but cant see myself liking it as much as the Z33

  8. Order proper offsets on the wheels and there will be no need for spacers at all. Spacers should really be a last resort for giving standard wheels an aggressive stance. On aftermarket wheels they should be a last resort as they should be ordered with the best offset available.

8.5" fronts and 10" rears with a decent offset (25 or less) should be fine.

Thats some good advice IMO jpaero. Follow that and you won got far wrong.

Personally Id recommend a 9J ET15 front and 10J ET10 rear, but thats coz Im proper cool. :band:

  9. Nice one - whos was it, as theres been about 3-4 sold on DW recently :)

For FC RX7 advice DW is actually quite good as there are 3-4 competing at the moment. My good friend Mr Flik can help you out - he is currently driving/attempting to tame this monster:

Plenty more here too ........ http://www.driftworks.com/forum/media-section/47292-pic-request-hot-ass-fcs.html

  10. No need to shout Sarnie ;)

Jord and I probably look at wheel for sale threads differently from the average joe - I know pretty much any 5x114.3 wheel will fit on a 350Z and long as its not stupid sized, mostly as Ive got 36 JDM wheels of various sizes myself that are used across my three Nissans. For me (and the whole of Driftworks for instance) its pretty pointless seeing the wheels on a widearch Silvia if Im putting them on a 350Z.

Indeed, its very rare that you buy a set of JDM wheels and see or even know what they were on before - as I say, its irrelevant to me anyway.

If you want to know if they will fit then do some research. Ive got even wider rims than theser to go on my Z33 and through research I know exactly how much my fenders need to be flared, what camber I need to run and what tyres to make them fit.

You could go to *insert generic aftermarket part company* and buy what they recommend, but you and your car arent going to be unique that way. If you were to buy Jords wheels youd be the only 350Z in the UK rocking a fat set of Rezax, but its down to you to check they fit.

Id also add that if they dont fit, the rarity of these mean you can sell them on with no issues.

Uneven tyre wear means whoever ran them last had a lot of camber, that all. If its mentioned I dont see what the issue is.

Fresh Import and Brand New arent the same thing. I bought a "Fresh Import" Evo VI last year. It was 10 years old. Dont see the difference, particularly when you have pics of the wheels for reference.

I think a lot of the friction here is simply caused by different attitudes and experiences to car modification, in this case in the arena of wheelage. When I asked about wheel offsets etc. (possibly on the other site) about 18 months ago I was told that the wheels that were actually on my car at that time wouldnt fit and that I was talking rubbish - obviously they did though, just the poster didnt have enough real life experience to make comment.

Half the point of these forums is that we are all learning. Possibly even you could learn as well if you were a little less confrontational ;)

Anyway, thats my piece - if anyone wants to ask about wheel fitments, arch rolling, tyre stretch or anything drift related then just ask - if I want to know about Lambos I know where to come too ;):D

  11. It was better from the side (here in Le Mans spec) :D

Its absolutely amazing what a set of wheels that fit properly can do for the car. I had a good look around a Z34 yesterday and the first thing that struck me were how the wheels didnt fit in the arches and just let the rest of the car down.

Compare it with how mine will look when its back (with a nicer kit) ........

You can bury a lot in a Z33 wheel arch B)

  12. GT4 Zed, with those i would go 10mm spacer front, 20mm spacer rear, if you want the wheels to look agressive...

I think you could go further than that myself ......... run a narrower tyre and go at least 15mm/25mm.

    P1060744.jpg

    Thats 9J ET20 F, 10J ET15 R and I reckon it can go another 10mm front and back. That would be a 9J ET10 and 10J ET5.

Theres a handy offset calculator http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp there if you want to try some different sizes :)

  13. When an over stretched tyre distorts under load, the distortion brings the sidewall into contact with the tarmac, just a little no doubt during fast road use, but enough in my experience to lose traction earlier in the wet than a stock tyre size.

This is my theory based on my experience of seeing stretched tyres sliding a mates car in the wet.

I dont think anyone would deny that a 225 will offer less lateral grip than a 245, for example, but my personal experience is that the car if anything is more predictable as there is considerably less tyre roll due to the reduced profile. Once the car gets into a slide its more controllable for similar reasons.

Perhaps you lose very little in outright grip in the wet, but the "feel" of the car more than makes up for that. Im speaking from personal experience of running everything from 245 DO-1J's on a 7.5J to 225's on a 10.5, on road, track and drift.

  14. I know someone who was offered £8.5K for his 04 plate 18K miles Zed, SHOCKING :scare:

Original offer for my 03 import with 85K kms when I wrote it off was £5.5K :yuck:

At the time you couldnt buy any 350Z in the country for less than £8K

  15. Maybe so, but seeing as he was posting not in the spirit of this forum or adhering to the forum rules viewtopic.php?f=3&t=46 , the board decided that this person we could do without. Especially as he only had 35 posts.

    We hope you understand :)

Perfectly. Im admin on SXOC.com myself and wouldnt consider arguing any ban you guys have dished out.

I would ask if you feel its acceptable to post personal opinions on price styling etc. on other peoples for sale threads though, as that seems a bit unfair to me. Id also ask why the three strike system doesnt appear to have been used here as in the link you quoted :)

Believe me, Im not looking for an argument at all, just interested
