AC should be on all the time (or as often as possible) as its air conditioning not air cooling (well it is when you wack it down to 18!!) If you have got condensation I would try that for a few weeks every time your out, just change the temp dial to suit. Also make sure you dont have it on recirculate, use the option that shows the air coming from the outsude... I would also have a look in the bottom of the battery and brake fluid sections too see if you have leaf blockage and no sat water and also make sure the little holes near the wipers arnt blocked.

Hi All, Just gauging interest on a few new parts that will be available under the BMF Racing Components brand, some of them have been around for some time but have been redesigned to fit better, and others parts are brand new and never been available before, but best of all they will be made in the UK. First up we have the bottle covers Set of 3 to cover OEM bottles These will be available as a set of 3 to cover the Power Steering, Rad Overflow reserviors and the windscreen washer filler. They will be made from Billet Aluminium and available in a polished, natural or Anodised finish. Anodised finish will be available in virtually any colour but you will need to send me a sample. Standard Blue, Red, Black, Orange, Green wont be an issue and will be as close as possible to the samco hose colours. The windscreen washer and rad overflow caps are replacement. The powersteering cap fits over the excisting cap Approx Prices for the 3 Natural / Anodised £65 Polished £75 Single window washer cap This will be made from billet aluminium but will have a knurled edge and a flat top to match up with the PowerSteering and RadOVerflow bottles that many of us have changed over already and is a direct replacement for the washer cap. Approx Prices Natural / Anodised £22 Polished £25 Polished Harness Cover Stainless Steel harness cover to replace the Stock plenum cover that has been redesigned to provide an easy fitment and provide a better fit in the engine bay. Cover will be available in polished stainess steel or in any anodised colour you like to match the rest of your engine bay. This can also be laser engraved if you wish (at an extra cost) just provide me with the details. Approx Prices Polished Stainless Steel £65 Anodised Stainless Steel £70 Prices will include Postage / Delivery All items will be available in the next few weeks, but will be available in batches so If your interested, please sign up below with the items your interested in and what finish / colour and I will PM you the exact costs once we see what the interest is like. As stated, more items are in development and will be available over the next few months. Cheers Mark

Just to clarify, BHP or torque cant be bought to original settings as there is no such thing, all the cars have different ammounts of BHP/torque, put 2 cars on the dyno with standard setups and they will both come out with different numbers! The ECU settings depend on a number of limiting factors... Pleunum adds mid-range torque. Remaps, ECU swaps and Piggybacks can all help to get the numbers up as will other modifications, like exhaust manifolds, CAI's, even exhaust systems, plenums and spacers etc etc etc etc !!

Now then, this is getting confusing... am I right that some cold air intakes have velocity stacks and some dont.. might seem a daft question but which bit is the velocity stack of the intake? and the standard boxes have them yes? Maybe I just go for the panel filter & take Marks advice & try the Dyno route.. would be interesting to see any difference.. the car has the Nismo cat back exhaust so would be good to see what the power is in any case. Welcome to the world of Zed !!1 The early mk1 350zs with one ontake didnt have VS in the airbox, the 06 facelift did as do the 08's, I think the VS sits after the filter on the ztube. Stillens filter has a VS after the filter (the silver ring) Pop charger has a dual effect with the open front end of the filter and the silver ring Just trying to find the differences between the OEM boxs so you can see how they differ. Quote from my350z which says it all! "I don't think anybody has decided the ultimate intake. 06 has a JWT-like velocity stack and ensures cold air JWT has a bigger filter but may get heat soaked If you like more sound, go JWT. If you are looking for a negligible power gain over stock with no extra noise... go 06 airbox. If both cars were to line up at a drag strip, neither one really has an advantage. " More info here! http://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/ ... x-pix.html

http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/dash_removal/ You got the code for the HU? Why you replacing with an original out of interest!~? They arnt very good!! Also thought they were linked to the ECU, so you may have to take to Nissan to get coded etc... And as yours is an import they may not be very happy!

Smudga, there is a dyno day in september in Surrey, get some new panel filters in, do one run, swap them over and then do another run and see if there is a difference!!!
-
I think you may find that the 08 cars have the very uprated air intakes with the velocity stacks built in. The panel filters actually perfom better on the HR than any of the cone type CAI's If I were to go any I would be looking at the Pop Chargers with the velocity stacks built in. I did have a typhoon but the filter isnt great (even though the rest of the kit is very nice) and this is dyno proven that the pop is a better filter design.... The PC does come with a type of heat sheild though... Stillens look quite nice with the enclosed box but cant rememember of they have VS. Mark

Not sure we want to know about you playing Hide the Sasauge, but good work mate, looks great what you going to do about the radio controls? Leave them Orange? Also, your next project is still sat at my house!! Need to get to the Post Office!! im very tempted witht the bose but the led's are so so so very small its not gonna be worth it. i could do it im sure but whether i retain my sanity is a different matter. its started to skip on the very odd occasion anyway so its prob going to go but not quite yet. Could be a consideration on the colour for the A/C as the kenwoods use blue and red, but ones like the alpine have a choice I think if your going DD with a big screen!

Had my strut bar off over a 100 times now and never even touched with a torque spanner... Just be careful when your putting the bolt back in, nice and slowly does it and done over tighten!

The one I posted earlier is now up for sale http://pistonheads.com/sales/1125440.htm not by the original owner that I knew...

I hate to burst your bubble but it already is.......... All be it a small %.... And some of those can "dent it" for the larger population! Boyracers have always been burning them off the lights and drifting round roundabouts and chavs have been modding them in a way thats not of taste to all owners.... Same as any car brand anywhere in the world! (Gold Vinyl veyron anyone?) As the car prices come down, cheaper (sometimes inferior) copy parts are available.... But I wont be selling cause of this reason, but there will be a rye smile on my face when things start to break and fail and more parts cant be affored, thus quality examples will command a slightly higher price.... Its can be that there is a perception difference of who is a boyracer and / or a chav.. One mans fake burbarry is another mans Dolce and Gannana. Like has been said, the Zed is a great car and offers great value for money so I will still be visiting lots of Zed forums (unfortunaly for some!!) , having an involvement in the scene and enjoying getting in the car and hitting the loud pedal for a few more years to come...
