Looks great in Red with Nismo but if it was me I would be looking around to do something different.. I would go for something like Leemiks famous red zed and bring some black on to the lip of the front bumper and paint just the wing of the spoiler black. I would also be looking at perhaps black wheels so your making it look meaner... Also makes it look more stocky!

There are no legal limits on the noise the car can make, only the surroundings it makes it in. So, the police advise you that you are disturbing the peace or annoying some chavs whilst there trying to stab a gran or something then it can be deemed as too loud. Ive never been pulled but then i only open the taps fully on country roads and the occasional slip road. It is also illegal to change an exhaust on a car for the sole purpose of increasing the noise over the standard exhaust, but interestingly you can alter it to increase or decrease performance/mpg. In regards the track bedford said i can come down and they will test it with their db meter before i pay as i dont want to get banned! Info on here just so your aware and have things to talk to the nice policeman about... Info here http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roads/environ ... noiset3835 http://www.vcacarfueldata.org.uk/information/noise.asp And from a discussion in parliament... Vehicles: Exhausts Lord Teverson asked Her Majesty's Government: Whether the modification or replacement of motor vehicle exhaust systems in order to produce a greater level of noise is in conformity with European Union type approval regulations; and what enforcement action they will take to discourage any contraventions of the regulations. [HL5603] 21 Oct 2008 : Column WA101 The Minister of State, Department for Transport (Lord Adonis): European-Union-type approval legislation in relation to vehicle noise is primarily concerned with ensuring that new vehicles meet specified noise limits and exhaust standards before they are permitted to enter into service. Mandatory EU-type approval requirements have been transposed into UK regulations. Control of vehicle noise in service is governed by domestic legislation. Under regulation 54 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, as amended, alteration of the exhaust system of a vehicle so as to increase the noise made by the escape of exhaust gases is an offence. The regulation forbids both the alteration of the silencer itself so as to make the vehicle noisier and the alteration of the exhaust system (by, for instance, replacing the silencer with one of a different pattern) so as to make the vehicle noisier. At MoT, test vehicle testers are required to fail vehicle which are excessively noisy for their type. Enforcement on public roads is carried out by the police, who are able to take action if they suspect a vehicle contravenes construction and use noise, or other, requirements. They have further powers to address noise nuisance under the Police Reform Act 2002 and the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 under which anti-social behavior orders can be served on the vehicle owner, imposing a ban from certain roads or even vehicle confiscation.

http://www.envyperformance.com/index.cf ... /index.cfm £2820 roughly.... But you will have to buy new coilovers... wont work on stock so add another £750 to £1000 -
anyone else thinks this looks good? Yeh, brilliant.... If you can keep up with the running costs!
-
Or have a look at these. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/682937.htm http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/741098.htm The 2nd one has a 2k body kit and 2k ish wheels along with some decent engine work... Agree with mike on the fitting / painting costs
-
Wheels... Loads about that are different, but the almost "stock" Nismos will be about 1600 to 1700... What area of the country you in? Costs differ for body kit install and paint...

They run a few 350z race cars so they know all about suspension

Its been out for about 3 years now... Supras use it alot -
UK or import?
-
Howabout taking it to RJN and having them fitting the kit and alignment? In reading area so not that hard for you to get there... Less than 500 miles too I would have thought....
-
Yep, unless the car has had a retrim obviously! If your going to do the things above I would go for a uk base model and then either get the seats retrimmed or get some nice comfortable recaros!!

10 to 12k is an oldish import with extras or older stock UK car. However there are some older UK GT spec cars with higher than average milage on them going for silly money. Older imports do have some advantages with the early ECU if your modding and tuning. Do you plan on modding it? If so going for a UK base model will give you the option of ditching the stereo and other bits and use the cash you save to spend on the mods...

Of the 2 the JP visage looks the better buy esp with the engine work and the Volks. Over priced a little... All this talk of what you can get for a lot less and cars being over valued etc is quite damaging for us owners... If you drive the costs down the cars will continue to depriciate... And they wont come back up, the depreciation will just slow a little... I just hope those that keep saying its a buyers market and how much cheaper you can get a car for dont have to sell any time soon or you will have wished that all this talk of buying cheaper or thats to expensive will be hitting you in the pocket.... I know its all about the market and cars depriciate but as there are only a few of these cars on the road wouldnt it be better to keep the prices higher? Also from one of the other posts... the Blue UK car with 12k on it looks a veritable bargain!

Will show you mine on the 8th of December.... Well it will be 95% there!

Best thing to do is look in the bottle and see how much fluid there is in there. It should sit about 2 inchs deep. Then squeeze the big pipe that runs off the left hand side of the rad. If there is air in the system you might see evidence of fluid or air in the expension tank... It could be something easy like they have forgotten to put the cap back on, but then again it could be something else... Its not so much a buyers market like the above have been saying, you could find one that looks ok with no temp issues (this isnt a common thing BTW) and it could break down a few days later after a good cover up job... I take it its a private sale? As with any purchase, best to get someone who knows what they are on about and get them to check it out. Where in the UK are you?

Andy, you would be doing me a massive favour (like you havnt already... ) if you did, but a couple of photos of the loom clip and where the cables go to would suffice.. No worries if your not going to see him, I am hoping Paul will be online again with the info as he has some sitting at home! Cheers Mark
