  1. Dosnt suprise me after living in the middle east... Bloke pulled up in a lambo once on the side of the road, gets out and gets his mobile out, 20 mins later a guy turns up in ferrari, hands the key over and the lambo driver goes off in the ferrari, i go over to find out whats up with it, the guy is actually a ferrari salesman and its appears the lambo had a little fuel problem ie it had run out.... Turns out instead of phoning the AA he calls the ferrari garage, buys one over the phone and gets the sales guy to drop it off then and there... about an hour later one of the lambo drivers servants turns up with a fuel tank and spends about 10 mins trying to work out how to open the petrol cap, 10 mins trying to start it and then 10 mins stalling it and trying to work out how to drive it.... More money than sense!!

Unscrew the seatbelt brackets (the one at head height) on both sides, fit bar, refit seatbelt brackets, stand back and admire your new harness bar! Only thing I dont understand is if the harness's attach onto the bar or if you need to bolt the ends of the harness to the chasis...
  6. Yeh CEL's can be an issue unless you know the problem!! Mine only came up due to my cats but I knew that was it... If there had have been another problem I wouldnt have known I guess!! You can try and get under the car and see if the O2 sensors have been knocked. They are roughly under the gear stick and on the sides of the cats, they look like spark plugs with a cable sticking out... They do sit quite high so are pretty hard to hit but it has been known esp if you knocked your cats! There is a way of pumping the accelerator pedal with the engine off to give you a code that is made up of blinking lights... (dont know why they used lights when there are 2 little LCD screens that could give you a 4 number code!! Guess it keeps the dealers in diagnostic fees!!) There is a how too somewhere on here about how to get the code and also a list of what the codes mean. If you try and earch for "error codes" that may throw up something...
  7. Gary @ GTart in Brighton if you fancy a day out!
  8. Point eactly thats why I need to speak to you aswell Dan!
  9. Common???? Now now Jerry!!! Non of the above are common, they only happen really when you mod the car and are not common on an unmodded car!! Dont want to scare new or prospective owners!! OP, o2 Sensor may be where the problem is due to the clank and you have dislodged one of the sensors... Have you got hiflow cats? Also blinking light dosnt always mean a problem, its a warning, solid light is worse adnd shouldnt be driven... Where in the UK are you? If may be that someone in your area has an ODB reader and can pull up a code. There is a way to get the engine light to blink at you to tell you what the code is but that is a real pain in the hole to get it too read!
  10. Bundus, hold everything! Just been on the phone, will call you tonight as I have news!
  11. Yep!!! To quote zmanalex "shy boys dont get the sweeties!", am sure you will find your turbo benifactor somewhere Jon!!
  12. How do you know that Jay??!? You got that as one of your fave searches? And dont say that its what people look for when searching for you... We know your a student that wanders round unwashed with a dog on a string so those 2 search critiria are not you!!!
  13. £400 to fit and Dyno!! Didnt realise you told me that!! Remove lower passanger dash, unplug ECU, plug in harness, plug in unichip, secure unichip, job done... drive to Garys and get him to get it on the rollers! Just on the safe side, Alex if your reading this, please can you confirm the map in the unichip should be good to go on a small run to the tuners?
  14. They have replaced it with a 350z one? I know its bad Chris but am writting this with a smile on my face... cant belive they replaced it! The nerve of some people!! Somewhere there is a Honda CR-V driving round with a stubby ariel again and you have the one that I swapped with it! Or there are posts on another marque forum saying that 350z's sometimes have stubbies and they are a good fit! Perhaps the Lexus IS200 club!
  15. Speak to THOR racing about this one... I think Bobby has one of these thats not fitted yet.. You going to the mod day this weekend?
  16. Not much of a swap though is it? Swapping one knob for another..... you may get more use out of Dans knob though.... QUE Thread going downhill~!
  17. You discussed this with Rach mate?
  18. I think the unichip can just be fitted mate as you have the harness, just plug it in and it should be OK. I didnt say that the unichip wasnt good, it has done stuff to the car, probably just not met my expectations! over 20lbs of torque is pretty good considering!
  19. Could be that its a bit warm now with the short ram and no heatshield.... Mine was running tres warm on Saturday, you couldnt touch the CAI tube, but Andy's (Bundus) long tube was running nice and cool! If it has been warm the ECU could have adjusted and picked up on one of its many, many maps... ECU reset may give you back a bit extra but it may be that you need to chip / remap now to keep the benifits...
  20. Yeh, spoke to Dixon and unfortunatly the dyno will be on the 4th of July... Oh well!
  21. Sure, All welcome mate! Just have to park it round the back!!! Anymore coming? Just trying to sort out catering arrangements!
  22. Are they new dunlops? Seem to remember that they were on when you got them from Newseller so they will be 3rd or 4th hand now. And how old are the falkens? Can you get thread depths and pics up? Esp inside of the rear tyres.
