  1. Sorry mate, you're wrong on this one. Alignment is critical yes - it's what sets the relationship of the tire to the ground. However, it's not all there is..these things do not operate in a vaccuum Any time you fit new tires....even new, standard size tires, you need to an alignment. That is a given. In fact, if your idea was correct, a car with this much wider of a front tire + the wider, lower offset front wheel + increased front camber would lead to a very erratic car. Yet, in reality, the car rides heaps better than any stock Z...it tracks straighter, turns in far crisper, and holds a consistent line in a turn far better than any stock Z I've ever been in, and I've been in my share more tire = more grip - any way you slice it. There have been absolutely, without question zero drawbacks to fitting the wider front (and rear) tires vs my previous setup...except that these tires cost alot more $$! I've had this setup now with a variety of camber settings both front and rear - I can go down to -1.25 front camber if I so desire (I like it with more) as I have full control over all aspects of alignment on my car (everything is adjustable). The increased level of grip provided by this setup, vs my previous (Flaken RT615 in the conventional 245/275) is astounding....and I ran the same span of alignment settings on my previous tires as well. Zero issues with tramlining, or any other nasty effects, despite by setup being substantially wider than stock Most people fitting wheels and tires in the 19 inch variety, at least our customers, all have lowered their cars, or plan to at some point...lowering the car inherently induces more camber. And guess what? These cars LOVE more camber...no ifs ands or buts. They can deal with a very wide range of camber both front and rear, and still maintain excellent tire life and behave superbly
  2. Given that these are 9.5, a 245 would be quite stretched...not the best when it comes to comfort coupled with performance at all. The Toyo's we supplied (T1R) are not the widest running tire on the planet, so the 265 works great on the 9.5 inch wheels - we fit them all the time here. As some might say...255 is ok, 265 is more better I am running the same exact combo of tire size (265/30 front 285/30 rear) on my own car, 9's up front 10's out back
  3. pssshaawww...I spit on a measly 4 liters actually its slightly large at 4.15 This is going into one of my employees Z's
  4. just you guys wait to see what we have up our sleeves
  5. asked and answered your honor, next? lololol don't knock it till you try it as my grandmother used to sing to me. I once ran 245's too....I will now never go back
  6. Spoken like someone who has yet to try it Trust me guys, I RUN this exact combo on my own Z, and with -2 degrees front and rear camber (per my choice, as I like it a bit more aggressive), and there are zero tramlining issues, and its no harder to drive than a stock car. This is why I don't just recommend things to recommend them...we have 2 Z's in house, and have gone through a boatload of setups and combos in order to determine what can, and can't be done safely and effectively
  7. the greater the difference between front and rear width, the greater the understeer. The less you stagger the less you understeer, all other things being equal.
  8. Trevor - sent you a PM but didn't see a reply..did your package arrive safely?
  9. stagger has to be kept at a certain level or the vdc and traction control get a bit freaked out. Not to mention, if you have too big of a difference between front and rear stagger, you induce unnecessary understeer As far as using a 245 on a 9.5, it certainly can be done, and given that some tires run wider than others, I am sure it has been done. At a minimum, I'd run a 255, but it all comes down to the specific tire
  10. As a general size recommendation, 265/30/19 front, 285/30/19 rear, or even 295 rear (with fender rolling out back) a 245 front on a 9.5 inch wheel is very very stretched...will look like a VW Golf on 13's that you would see in MaxPower also, the stagger between 245 front and 285 rear is too large, and will cause the VDC to act up when really pushing the car the 265's will fill those 9.5's great, and offer tons of clearance (same size I run on my own Z, though I have 9 inch fronts). For rear, my recommendation is to go to the manufacturers sites and compare the physical dimensions of the tires you are considering...remember, not all 285/30s will be the same physical size...they run like shirts (ie large from one store does not fit like a large from another) Adam
  11. lol - I am a soothsayer of JDM parts

  13. Cheers Danny - not sure about the Z, as I've yet to see the clutch kit, but generally the Exedy clutches come complete with the alignment tool, throwout bearing, etc. On the Z, the bearing gets pressed onto a sleeve - so you will need a garage with a press for this (or, perhaps you can ask your vendor is the bearing comes pre-pressed onto a new sleeve) Adam
  14. Yep still waiting for prices from you, anybody would expect that you have a buisness to run with how long its taking you to get back with prices Just kidding mate, you are actually very quick, pm me prices of the Cwest carbon bonnet lololol - yes, we try to be as fast as humanly possible sent you pm today
  15. we'll agree to disagree here mate. I've experienced so many varieties of wheels and tires on the Z's with varying suspension I can get dizzy recalling them all. With proper forsight, there really is no compromise in ride quality at all
  16. if anyone wants Seibon, just ask...we stock quite a bit, and if not already here, we can generally have it in a weeks time With the lower price of these hoods though comes some TLC required. If you are expecting an OEM fit, these generally will not give you that...though some come closer than others. I tend to find on dark colored cars, the fitment issues is not noticeable at all, only on lighter colored cars. Takes some fiddling often to get everything lined up properly, but its to be expected with an aftermarket body panel. For those after more perfect fit, I'd highly recommend C West or HKS Kansai. Price is more expensive for sure, but they literally bolt on straight away as if Nissan themselves created it
  17. Absolutely they offer several styles And guess who happens to be a big BBS stockist ?? Yours truly!
  18. I'm running the Focul Utopia in my car but likely will be swapping them for something else...they are a bit on the bright side, though they perform flawlessly. I've got them mated to a McIntosh amp
  19. we've got 1 exhaust left and more on the way yes Max got one a couple weeks back Cheers for the order Danny - was good speaking with you !
  20. don't forget tire prices - there is a HUGE difference between 19 and 20's, and a far more limited selection of true performance tires in 20's
