  1. Congrats We have a set here too waiting to go on our other in house Z....will be months before they are fitted though (Racing 6/4) I got a set on my car a few months ago in a one off color...absolutely a first rate system (and I was coming out of AP's - certainly no slouch either!) Post more pics of the car!!!
  2. that's assuming the sidewall on the 19 is truly smaller than the 18...not always the case depending on the size. Also depends on the tire. Many tires even in 19 inch have a very forgiving sidewall, while others are incredibly stiff and thus affect ride quality My last set was 18 inch Work wheels with Potenza S03 (40 series). My new setup is 19 inch Works wheels with RE050A in 30 series - and it rides much nicer than before
  3. Roughly how low can i go at the front without having to buy Adjustable A Arms? Colin - there really is no magic answer here, as every car comes off the factory line with different alignments - where the car starts affects where it ends up after lowering. Also, your wheel and tire combo has a huge affect on alignment as well
  4. No budget really, What in YOUR opinion are the best, regardless cost. The Zed has loads of potential, but your opinion must count as something as very few people have tried 20+ different combinations o suspensions. For street: Bilstein PSS9, KW V2 and V3, HKS RS For street with some track use: KW V3, Cusco Zero 2, HKS RS For more track oriented use, or road use on smooth roads: Ohlins, Zeal Function Xs Adam
  5. from us the exhaust varies from $1349 to $1379 depending where in the UK it's going The Stillen is more, as its far more costly to ship
  6. I can vouch for the Courtesy ones I had the bigger one on the front of my oem bumper and now just ordered the black pearl ones for the new front bumper and fenders, since my car is being painted shortly
  7. it really will depend on your wheel tire combo and how low you want to drop it Im trying to envision how shims up front would help....so far, I cannot see it
  8. still will depend overall my last set was 18's my new set is 19's and rides heaps better
  9. there really are not shims that can be used that I can think of that would be sufficient. A 350Z uses an upper a arm and rear control arm - as such, when you lower the car, you not only induce camber but toe in as well. The car can cope with some additional camber but the toe in is what kills the handling and what eats tires quickly. Your solutions are fairly simple ones though. For the front, you'll need to fit an adjustable a arm. I personally use the Cusco ones on my car, but there are other good ones too (Stillen makes a nice one, and we're a dealer if you need) Here are the Cusco: http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?mode ... rodid=1288 These give you admittedly a limited range of "positive" camber adjustment, but it should be sufficient to get most setup back at, or near factory camber specs. My own car is about 2 inches lower than stock and I can get my car to the upper range of "factory spec" if needed. By choice, I run -2 degrees up front as I love the handling. Toe in is factory adjustable up front, so no parts need to be changed For the rear, the best bet is the SPC kit (marketed as Eibach too, as SPC makes suspension pieces for many other firms out there). This kit consists of an adjustable arm for camber, and an eccentric bolt to adjust rear toe. Here is a link: http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?mode ... rodid=1314 I have not yet tried the Eibach coilovers, so unfortunately I can't comment on that. But, I've been lucky to be able to try about 25 sets of coilovers to date on the Z, so maybe soon we can try the Eibach set too Adam
  10. both are very nice units, and we have customers with both, but the NISMO really gives a nicer sound to the car I think
  11. I would be you are looking at a couple of months.
  12. the JDM clear/red ones are sold as an option from the dealers there we can get them if needed
  13. going to be awhile before you see that bumper...none are around right now and in fact, Gruppe-S called us the other day looking for one, since we're the only other place that really ever stocks them
  14. I swapped from my std 04 lights to the newere 2006 LED ones...absolutely fantastic change, they are much much nicer, and really freshens the rear of the car up, while still maintaining factor quality we keep these in stock generally if you want
  15. ok guys....lots of parts coming in soon and we need to make room let's make a deal to make these sexy wheels yours They deserve to be on a car, not sitting in my office for me to gawk at !!!!
  16. Some one go and take lots of good pictures so I can live vicariously through you all!!!!!
  17. Mark - at some point you'll always hear these critiques of any publication that derives profit from advertising revenue. One could easily say Top Gear (Clarkeson in particular) have a "bent" towards certain marques as well. The way I look at it is this - I'm not dropping $10 US per issue to merely have my "cause" supported - I'm buying it for the fantastic photography, witty writing, and the feeling that the truly great car authors can convey about how the car feels...it's attitude. If that means that they are automatically 911 fanboys, or what have you, so be it. As for the articles on the Punto, the Espace, and things of this nature...I could care less, so I pass them on the same way I pass over the insurance ads in the back. I could care less how exhilirating the new Twingo is
  18. I just read the issue (huge Evo magazine fan!!!) - the R8 is a fantastic car, and cheers for Audi towards making a true halo sports car. Speaking as a long time Audi owner (V8 Quattro, S4 Bi Turbo, and now an A4 Avant 2.0 FSI Turbo), I think every major car manufacturer needs one, and this is a great first stab. But something about the car leaves me cold. The front end is absolutely brilliant - very evil, yet clean all at once. But it looks like a kit car to me. It doesn't have the same, I don't know, sexiness, that a Ferrari or Aston bring to the table. It also could just be that I'm getting older and the whole "look at me" trend is passing me by (I don't much like Lambo's either from a styling standpoint, sorry Sarnie lol). Again, as a first real stab as a car company with now global reach, at a first true sports car, its a great effort - I just don't find myself lusting after it.
  19. lololololol it's not one thread in particular - its PM's in general We often exchange 10, 15, 20 PM's with people, and its just easier to remember everything without sorting through previous messages I know some forums do this by default, or have the ability to do it in the code And the black Meisters are still avialable
  20. Let me preface this by saying no, I have not yet searched....it's 8 PM here, I am going home and this is total stream of conciousness. What do I (or we) need to do so that when engaged in a conversation via PM, it quotes all previous messages between the 2 parties (other than manually quoting someone) Adam
