  1. those are ridiculously small tires unless 1. they are r compounds 2. you're going for the Mk1 GTi look
  2. Luke - it's essentially good enough to get the car to your tuner, but not suitable for any meaningful, long term usage IMHO. When you're dropping the kind of coil one of these kits go for, best off to have it mapped for your particular car, by a trained professional IMHO - it ensures everything is running smoothly, and allows you to tailor it to suit your particular needs, fuel choice, etc The kits come with the Split Second piggyback, so anyone familiar with that unit can easily sort it for you. As Alex mentioned though, IMHO the tuner is the one to go for, as it really lets you tailor the setup to suit your own needs/wants without being tied down to just 1 direction
  3. have you done any mods to the car? another cause of random misfires can actually be a leak in the plenum
  4. Luke - it comes "premapped" inasmuch as the map supplied will start the car. However, you still must have it tuned by someone to make the most efficient use of the kit. It is not plug and play, requires some splicing. Stock ecu remains in place, so knock sensors, etc are fully functional Among our customers, most go for the tuner version of the kit and then purchase a fuel pump, injectors, 1 step colder spark plugs and usually a UTEC to make it all work well together With stock boost, you certainly can run a water injection setup if you like, but it's not required.
  5. I tried asking 10 different ways but they wouldn't say if pricing is changing or not unfortunately
  6. tire pressure should always be at the factory recommended pressures, regardless of the tire diameter or size - so in the mid to upper 30's - you have to experiment to feel out what best suits your particular needs/driving style the UK maf is the same size as the MAF worldwide - as evidenced by the fact that you got it to fit It's a tight fit, as it's supposed to. Some soapy water works wonders to make it slide on easily
  7. The shipment arriving this week to us is pretty much all presold - have maybe 1 or 2 not yet spoken for. This is a brand new item for us for 2009 Next batch which would fill this GB through Tim would be about 2.5 weeks or so out once the order is confirmed. Hopefully you guys can get this all confirmed by the end of the month, as Japan is upping all the pricing on April 1 (no idea what the new price will be, they don't reveal that till it's time)
  8. the UTEC is made by Turbo XS. There are no plans for a UTEC for the 2007 + models We expect the Haltech to be out soon for the 2007's
  9. there are both V2 and V3 versions of the kits -the V2 uses an external oil resevoir, the V3 is internally lubed (and has been the more popular setup as of late) standard boost is 9 psi on the revup engines safety is all down to the person mapping it, like on any other car. The Vortech setup is sold in 2 versions - one is a tuner kit, which is the basic s/c kit itself. It leaves the choice of engine management, fuel pump/injectors up to the buyer. The other version of the kit comes with a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, larger injectors and a piggyback wire in fuel controller.
  10. coils are known to go bad over the course of time - I already had to replace mine due to similar misfires we have them in stock for $69US each + shipping, or we offer them in groups of 2-6 units I also have a few second hand, good condition ones available for sale as well
  11. let us know, we have the OE units for much, much, much less http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?mode ... rodid=2291
  12. Tubi does not make any products for any Japanese cars
  13. could just be that they want to protect regional dealers
  14. depends on mileage, when its driven relative to when you fit the plenum, etc. There are galley's for the oil to drip back to the heads
  15. not the type of part people bother fitting to a Z with basic mods to be honest - for that, a utec tends to get the nod as its quite capable, easy to map and much less costly the 2007 + models are not out yet...coming soon. pricing should be the same

    .

can easily work you a much better deal on the hipermax III's than that
  17. there is a specific unit for the 2007 + cars
  18. just took one off the shelf for myself
  19. we have about 10 "seconds" of the GT Spec dry carbon one - it is extremely light. These are offered as seconds, as they each have some minor cosmetic defects, but no issues structurally If you guys are interested, let us know - would make an ideal quick, down and dirty group buy where we can ship at once to a single address let us know who might be interested, I'll work out the #'s (price will be attractive, I promise!)
  20. I am sure white is offered worldwide there is no roadster as of yet
  21. Glad to see you got it all in - enjoy!
  22. the oil consumption issue has nothing to do with the plenum It is totally normal to have oil collect in the plenum area, regardless of the year of the car. The rings are the issue with the revup motors enjoy the mods
