1. Good point, I should have said MY03-05. I have no idea if they'll fit later cars but assume not. Original post edited!
2. Small clear out having sold the car a year ago. Nismo 380RS Pedal, £35 posted: MY03-05 Nismo S-Tune drop-in panel air filter, used for approx 5000 miles, SOLD: Faux Nismo centre caps for OEM Rays made from OEM caps with the badges removed and eBay stick-on fake CF roundels, £free to a good home: TAKEN I've also got a set of 4 reproduction Nismo decals for 19" LMGT4s in the original colours, could be useful for someone who's had their wheels refurbed? £10 posted. If I don't respond to PM try an email to tim.j.simpson at o2 dot co dot uk. Cheers
3. *** SOLD *** I have sold the car so now it's time to get rid of the wheels! Powdercoated satin black with matching black centre caps. Falken F452 tyres in good condition in the correct sizes for these wheels on the 350Z (275/35ZR19 rears, 245/35 ZR19 fronts). Less than half worn. Rays lightweight alloy wheel nuts in black anodysed to match. One nut on each wheel is 7-sided with a slot on one face so can only be undone with the special adaptor (supplied). These are currently around £100 a set. Wheels currently have Nismo decals on one spoke each in white with a red "o" as in the bottom two photos. These decals can be removed if required. One front wheel has some curbing which I have touched up with black paint. This is noticeable close up but not from a distance. In addition several of the wheels have some marking by the bolt holes from the wheel wrench. Local pick-up preferred from near Addlestone, Surrey (between M25 jn. 10 and 11) or Farnborough, Hants. Also happy to courier at cost, or wrap the wheels for your courier. Some pics of them on my old car: Thanks for looking.
4. *** SOLD *** Taken off the car at approx. 8000 miles. Excellent condition with no kerbing whatsoever, just a few tiny scratches from use and storage (you have to look closely - too small to show up in the photos). Tyres are original Bridgestone RE 040 all round in OEM fitment (225 / 45 / 18 front and 245 / 45 / 18 rear). Fronts 6mm & 5mm left; rears 4mm and 3.5mm. Freshly waxed and Poorboys World Wheel Sealant applied, ready to fit and go! Looking for £350. Local pick-up definitely preferred. I'm about 10 mins drive from Envy South or 10 mins from M25 J11. On with the pics:
5. Mine's been on the Speedferries (RIP) sea cat from Dover to Boulogne, and the ferry from Caen to Portsmouth both with no problems whatsoever.
6. 245/40 on the front and 275/40 on the rear is near enough to the stock rolling radii to not confuse the ESP. 245/45 and 275/45 are quite a bit bigger than stock.
7. No problem: http://www.rmatrackdays.com/?id=events_diary There's another one at Odiham on the 6th of September. I was going to post nearer the time and try to get a few of us together, but no harm getting the ball rolling now!
8. Politicians lied and broke promises! Hold the front page! If you cast your mind back they took us to war in Iraq on the basis of a lie too, and servicemen died as a result which I feel is a bit more grave. Not that I want to take the discussion in that direction, just to put things in perspective. At the end of the day, as others have said if the loans are reduced ultimately I as a taxpayer will end up paying for the student loans of others which is a bit unfair as that's not what I agreed to. I do however disagree with making students take loans out for higher education in the first place. I was lucky, I did it on a grant in the days when there were still grants - I think today's students should have the same opportunity. It would also put a brake on universities trying to run themselves as businesses foremost with education far down the list of priorities.
9. I visited them when looking to get my LMGT4s reconned back to std. Standard of work looked top notch but not cheap. I ended up using WW in Guildford. Same company (they send the wheels to the powder coating place in Crawley). They recommended not to re-machine the lips on safety grounds. A couple of niggles with the finish but the customer service was second to none. It took a while for them to get it right as their powder coating machine was on the fritz but they knew that and were only too happy to do again at no cost to me. I'd recommend them wholeheartedly. They also let me provide the tyres (Camskill) and fitted & balanced for no extra charge.
10. Yes, RAF Odiham - they use the runway as the main straight and bits of the perimeter road for the rest of the course. didn't think to post it up beforehand!
11. Anyone here? I was in the black Z with black wheels. I didn't see you with the car in the paddock or I would have said hello! Great circuit for the Z - not too hard on brakes or tyres. There were a lot of cars with similar performance there too. Also, I got some passenger laps in the GT3 viper :
12. Thanks to everyone who's paid so far - some posted today, some will go out on Thursday. Thought you all might like to see this: [*:35ro9rjg]carefully unclip the LH side of the pedal stop from the top of the old pedal with the stubby screwdriver [*:35ro9rjg]wiggle the pedal around a bit whilst pulling gently-ish on the top. The top should pop off the pedal stop. [*:35ro9rjg]from there, the pedal will hinge down on the bottom of the arm as per Adam's how-to (link on P1) [*:35ro9rjg]You'll need to take the plastic bushing out of the bottom of the old pedal and fit it to the new pedal. Fitting the new pedal is the reverse of removal. I found the top clip was a bit tight but went in with a bit of force (not too much).
13. I will be away from the computer all day tomorrow so if you PM me don't think I'm ignoring you. I also won't be able to post any pedals tomorrow - normal service will resume on Thursday. BTW, I've overestimated the postage costs by £1.01 so if I've given you a price and you haven't paypalled me yet reduce the amount by £1.01. The new postage costs are £1.36 1st class recorded or 61p plain old 1st class.
14. I could collect from Chillis place!! I am happy to distribute at the next Chilli meet if it's ok by them but I think it's a bit cheeky to ask them to hold a special meet just for us to hand out/fit pedals we haven't bought from them! I haven't got any spare I'm afraid, but there's always a chance someone else might part with theirs. Happy for people to pick up from me or could have a mini-meet at the Brooklands Museum car park at some point?
