  1. Just been told by the company who are fitting my tyres, that my front offside GT4 alloy has a small bubble in it. Just checked this and it looks a little bit like a stone chip, got some slight discolouration and its bubbling, don't know if this was a chip or whether its bubbled and the paint has fallen off exposing the discolouration underneath. Spoke to the dealer and they want me to take it in take pictures, also noticed the rim has already had a small repair on another section. don't know if i should just get wickedwheels to do it
  2. Trouble is nobody has anything else, want a StuartB one but have been looking for 2-3 months on ebay etc and nothing Unless of course your selling yours , if so bagsy first
  3. What did you cover the Tonneau in, been trying to find a StuartB one and also PM'd Captint without ever finding out if there were anymore of his A mate of mine is a carpenter and i reckon i could ask him to make me one if i had a scale plan (sure i've seen one someone on the internet), but don't know how easy it would be to cover it (guessing acoustic cloth would be best) Its either this or buy one from Holdcrofts
  4. I'd be up for a decent sig, though need to get a good picture of the car first so it can be used as part of it.
  5. IIRC from reading so many threads, folding mirrors are an option on JDM cars, are you sure yours has this option? If so i am sure someone far more knowledgable will soon be along to tell you how. I just wish mine did this on my UK car, but getting into the habit of pushing the button as i get out
  6. thats two bits of good news after hearing Nixy's car is ok Can't believe its taken so long to resolve though
  7. A quid is cheap at half the price... Just had a vision of Mr Fiddler from carry on camping as everything was a pound
  8. Another benefit to not going to Tesco is that you don't get some tw@t putting dents in your doors
  9. If we turn up on one of the days, will there be room on the forums stand? or will we just have to park in public parking
  10. i've had mine two weeks, so haven't really monitored it. Its in for its P2 service today so i will check the level tonight and then over the next few weeks and report back
  11. Get Tesco to deliver, problem solved
  12. There is a sticker on the inside of the boot lid that shows you how to put them in (at least there is on my car)
  13. What was the price of this after conversion from Aus$ to £? have seen the B pillar and mirror covers on his site and quite fancy those, but he doesn't seem to do A pillar's

Took my car in for its P2 today, was surprised they gave me a 2.2 Diesel X-Trail as a courtesy car, was expecting a micra
  15. Least the firebrigade won't run out of water Blimey, sounds like its all happening in Chesterfield

Got a P2 at Marshalls Cambridge tomorrow, £185 with me providing the oil. though i had to pay £10 for a courtesy car insurance waiver (otherwise the excess was £1000) - is that common these days? Will be telling them not to wash or clean it, as i gave it a full inside and out at the weekend
  17. I read someone else recently hydrolocked the car and the insurance wrote that off, so i really do hope this isn't the case for you. Gutted to read this, as even after owning the car for a couple of weeks i know how pi$$ed off i would be if anything happened to mine Fingers crossed for you that its just some damp electrics
  18. Those pictures are incredible, you hear the weather forecasts but never expect to see that. Luckily this area hasn't been affected, but feel for everyone who has had cars and houses damaged And there was me swearing about keeping my car clean, puts it into perspective
  19. Personally out of Orange and Chilli Pepper, i'd go with the Red as its not a common colour and really does suit the car Why oh why didn't they include white as the latest colours are pretty disappointing in my opinion
  20. Yes i'm going but if its pouring down my mate is taking his car taking customers again this year, so luckily i get VIP
  21. theres a company called splashpower who do inductance charging via splash plates that get built into desks, also used in some electric toothbrushes. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/2861987.stm Also it probably won't be long till you see fuel cells in mobile devices, though the issue of transporting fuel is probably the most difficult thing. Also, there are other things ongoing such as nano technology, so both the components and power consumption are greatly reduced.
  22. Anybody? surely someone must know of a decent ICE installer
