  1. I'm currently insured with Tesco on the CTR - costs me about 400 a year. I had never made a claim in a billion years until last summer when I rear ended someone at a roundabout (yeah go on say it, women drivers) and needed the front bumper replacing as his towbar went into it. He didn't claim off me as no damage. My insurance stayed the same as I've protected no claims. I just phoned up tesco to see if they insure imports - yes they do - they quoted me for a Z - more than twice my existing premium and won't insure against theft unless it has a tracker! I nearly passed out! I have to say the lad on the phone didn't seem to know what he was doing and had never even heard of the car but if that's right it will be the straw that breaks victor meldrew's back and I daresay I won't be getting one! Can you guys tell me what you pay and whether it's UK or import please? I think I might cry............
  2. Best phrase of the day! Good luck dude.
  3. and then early last year they released the facelift model with the GT4 engine and some tweaks to the interior and exterior. This new model will be the 4th incarnation of the 350z can someone give me a picture comparison of a non facelift and a facelift cos I can't tell the difference. The other thing I've noticed is some have a neat little spoiler and some don't - why's that then - is that the age of the car?
  4. Knowing absolutely nothing about this are there any pics? I didn't realise I was going to be out of date before I even got one!
  5. Well I take it all back and I feel so guilty now! Lovely flowers and card from hubbie! oops.......
  6. ah, in the closet then usually! Well to all the people on here who made the effort, well done! Believe it or not it doesn't take too much to make most girls happy if only all men would realise that! A romantic gesture here and there is much appreciated and not too difficult to do!
  7. so are you a genuine romantic then or have you not been together very long! Can you tell I'm jealous?
  8. don't worry - he lives in France so won't be getting anywhere near! He wouldn't know where to start on a modern car now anyway. Sorry for spamming this thread!
  9. I think he actually stuck a clubman back on a standard mini front once! He used to put my mum in some right death traps when we were kids. She was driving us somewhere once and the steering wheel came off in her hands! It didn't work, she's still here!
  10. They must think you've got a ringing scam going or you're doing cut and shuts! They probably just want to see that there are actually two cars for some reason. My dad used to do up mini's and he was always getting visits. Mind you, I think he did actually stick them together...........
  11. For the imports: The S has brembos and 18 inch alloys The T has leather and Bose stereo The ST has both.
  12. am I right in thinking the UK non GT comes with Brembos and the JDM doesn't?
  13. Or presumably if a jap import an S which has the brakes and then pay £500 for leather - that sounds like a good idea.
  14. Mmm, true. I'm just all for making life easy - I also think you should be given a registration number when you pass your driving test and keep it to go on each car you own. Not good for new car sales so it would never happen.

  16. yeah, maybe the person should be insured and not the vehicle?

    Lomotos new car!

what about a freelander or some other type of 4 wheel drive. Lots of room for just about anything in the back plus no problem in bad weather. They do auto as well. That would be more or less like a large car or with the seats down a van as well.

    Lomotos new car!

what's the car actually going to be used for?
  19. I don't actually have another car - it was just one of those things I couldn't get my head around which I was curious about. Interesting comments though!
  20. if you had a second car and could legally drive it on your existing fully comp insurance third party only - would you have to get it insured in its own right? I realise you wouldn't be covered if it got nicked but just wondered. You'd be able to drive legally but how would you get it taxed without an insurance certificate?
