  1. these are fantastic things if you know what you're doing - I would recommend buying a paint thickness gauge as well if you're getting into it seriously. I had a scuff on my bumper and nothing would correct it by hand I was gutted - a detailing guy came out and literally 'ground' it away with one of these - you could only see it now with a magnifying glass. Why you selling it?
  2. might get a surprise when they try to insure it as well!
  3. really? that's not bad - might be worth doing.
  4. try http://www.detailingworld.co.uk - brilliant detailing site and lots of traders and valeters on there all over the country.
  5. It is awkward isn't it when you can't be without a car. I'm in the same boat and have no other way to get work. So much for public transport!
  6. seems sensible to try ebay and pistonheads first - after all the cost is minimal or free.
  7. I would be careful. out of interest I just did a quote for my car which came out about 1500 - 2k less than it's worth and that was with me saying it was in IMMACULATE condition which no car is at 3.5 yrs old - to me immaculate means as new. I reckon they make you an offer then come round and find lots of stuff wrong with it - a stone chip probably reduces the offer by 500 quid.
  8. sounds dodgy to me but you never know. Can't see why they would give you more than anyone else is prepared to give you trade.
  9. that was exactly my dilema. I borrowed the full amount for a Z on a 3 month deferred loan which means I've got until middle of june to sell the Type R. However, I have cocked up slightly by importing one so I'm still going to end up without a car. As soon as I sell the CTR I'm going to get an old banger until the Z arrives.
  10. ooh don't stratch them! Watch out for belt buckles etc!
  11. ah, are they both the same then?
  12. aha - cheers! Still need to get a paper one for my bedtime reading!
  13. oops sorry! Yep I'll look when I get on my home computer.
  14. I think Tim may want to hang onto his! I've downloaded from the link thanks - not sure how different it will be - possibly quite a lot cos it only starts at 2006. I'll have to try and get my hands on a proper copy.
  15. I've been trying to find a downloadable owners handbook but because I can't install flash on this work computer I can't get on the Nissan site. Does anyone know if they have downloadable literature? I will be needing an english handbook and can't find one on ebay. I'm one of those saddos that likes reading what every little switch in the car does and will be very disappointed if I can't learn japanese in time!
  16. Nice and clean - don't you just hate it if you have to go out in the rain the day after! Roll on summer!
  17. I'll have to remember I'm not driving a bus when I get back in the CTR!
  18. one of those white forensic plastic suits would be more use! I'm still in it today - it's quite fun!
  19. It's actually my son who's a massive bike fan - he's just bought an R6 but I went to the BSB final at Donnington 2 years ago and just thought it was awesome! I've never even been on a bike and it would terrify me to do so! I do love watching it tho. Prefer BSB but do watch GP as well.
  20. they're on here somehow courtesy of the photo bucket hackers! Anyway, I was referring to the fact that I love cars, british superbikes, football (even if it is leeds utd) do most of the blokey jobs plus the ironing and cooking - oh and my regular full time job! Sounds perfect to me - yet i'm still so unappreciated!
  21. I've always been the Perfect Woman!
  22. too late it's already two sides long! Oh and treat yourself to a new pen while you're there!
  23. erm, not sure - does it? I spose my current car is black and the monster truck is gold so I guess that makes me something wierd!
