  1. ok so that's two loud beating heart sessions tonight now - but I've sussed them both. 1. Try to start the car and key won't turn and it just beeps at me - doh, it's cos the steering lock's on. 2. Go to mini bank - no i didn't need any money right now but I wanted to pose in my new car. Get back in car, turn key - nothing! I'm sat there for about 3 minutes thinking f*** - this has got something to do with the water. Try again, no luck, and again, same. Just really starting to have palpitations and then decide to poke the little stick in the hole (immobilizer) and hey presto - we have ignition! Although I hadn't locked the car cos the hole in the wall was right next to it the car obviously immobilised itself. Crapped myself for a minute though. I know it sounds daft but if you dont know you don't know! Now I do! Took my dad out for a spin on a nice long empty road earlier and he was well impressed!
  2. oh bollox! sounds like you need to come round and share my gin! Not good news for me either with my slightly 'different' spacing!
  3. Right! I didn't think my eyes were that bad!
  4. didn't notice that! Dare I go out again and see if I can actually start the car now?
  5. Yeah I'll probably drown myself in it or pour it on my shoes!
  6. and I still can't get the hang of the alarm system - god knows what I've done now but the car is just beeping when I try to turn the key. FFS I need a gin and tonic now! And stop laughing!
  7. so why is the fuel hole so tiny? Is it the same on both UK and JDM? Why am I such a div?
  8. After nearly drowning the car, I've just been to fill it up after picking it up from the garage (oh joy) £500 quid lighter in my pocket - or rather credit card, only to slosh petrol all over my bloody feet! Is there an art to filling it up without splash back or shall I just give up and get a bloody cinqucento!
  9. I prefer the original one - go on tell me off everyone.............
  10. seems to fit ok without looking too small at all!
  11. I wasn't keen on the leather colour either - maybe on a blue car it would look ok but not on black and yeah what will it look like in a couple of years!
  12. Even less sure about the bonnet bulge now. It kind of summed it up when I asked my son if he liked it and he said it was "mint cos then everyone knows you've got a big engine in there" nuff said I think! However, I was chuffed it was a good review.
  13. stuey, can I ask if you are 39 why is your request for a 30 - 35 year old? Cheeky sod!
  14. do you know if your piano is still in his possession? If he has sold it and if he has gone bankrupt then you've got very little chance.

    Car Cover

it's not the scratching from the cover, it's the scratching from what gets on the cover so it doesn't matter what it's made of.
  16. I can't stand her either but apparently a lot of guys fancy her!
  17. I didn't know so thanks for that.

    Car Cover

I thought of getting one a while back as i don't have a garage but all the advice I got was the same as what louis has said - they scratch your car. It's alright to put one on for storage but not if you keep taking it on and off again. Bit of rain won't scratch your car.
  19. Tim, you're just too clever for your own good! Not that I even understand what you have done!
  20. Seems a strange place to put it - if you have an ordinary sat nav that sticks on the windscreen then you're stuffed!
  21. I like mine as it is now - makes my private reg fit better.
  22. True. Maybe the benefits that are handed out should not be such that people can afford NOT to bother working.
  23. Easy Dole is EARNED If you do not have a job and are fit and able bodied then you do 40 hrs voluntary work for your dole. No work = no money. Almost everyone is able to contribute to our society and should be encouraged to do so! The spongers that you refer to will then see the benefit of getting a higher paid 'job' and move off the dole leaving it for those genuinely in need of it! Ming the PM although I agree there are some who would say that would take jobs away from people who would normally get paid for them. Should definitely make em do something though!
