  3. La senza - that cheap theo from dragon's den stuff? tut tut sarnie - i though you would have been a victorias secrets man! I'll just stick to my bridget jones' thanks - nothing will snap the elastic in them! And before you say it - yes, this thread IS useless without pics!
  4. that's what homer told me to do - i'm too chicken - I hated every time I saw a traffic car thinking - he's gonna come and get me - until eventually he did! It's nice to be able to relax. I'm not brazen enough like you.

  7. Whats that? If you don't know the answer then you better go and buy a lambo to compensate.......... oh, you already did...........
  8. also, if you ask for the auction sheet it will have the original KM's on it before conversion
  9. White is the most exciting of those colours but blue or black will sell on better probably. I see a new shape TT in white regularly on my travels and it looks fantastic.

My local Nissan dealership are actually Dixons which is probably a bad thing as they are basically Renault, Nissan and whatever else they've taken over at the time! I doubt they've even ever seen a 350Z!
  11. You'll never be able to get away with anything ever again!

well said Mike. Is there a reason a Nissan dealer wouldn't service it? Mine will need a service in about a thousand miles or so.
  13. a £30 fine would have been easier - I got a vehicle defect notice, had to change the plates and produce my car at an MOT station within 2 weeks - have the notice signed by the MOT tester and send it off to the rozzers. Hassle on a grand scale!
  14. Hi Holly - any pictures of your Dad? Ok, only joking..........

It seems to me that there are some people who shy away from imports simply because it's an import but they don't really have a good reason why. There are rules and paperwork to make an auction legit the same as in this country and you are no more at risk than you are buying a UK car from a private seller. If you want the same spec as a UK GT car you can get it, you can also find you may get unexpected optional extras. The base model in japan does have 17 inch wheels but the others have 18's as standard. I can't see the problem with servicing - get it serviced where you like - if you want Nissan history then go there. When I bought my car I had cash in my pocket but purposefully went down the import route as all I could get at the time was silver or gun metal which I didn't want. It was a nerve wracking experience but when I saw my car with 5k miles on it and immaculate I knew I'd made the right decision. I got the car cheaper and will sell it cheaper. The only thing that was disappointing was that it had lots of really hi tech aftermarket stuff I can't use - TV, Sat Nav, DVD etc - I got a new unit for xmas which is going in soon. My advice would be to simply go for the best car and stop sweating over whether it's uk or jap.
  16. Rota GTR which big phil supplies - I am busy saving for some as we speak! He's quoted me 1200 including falken tyres which I think is a great price. (thanks to Zedrush for showing me these).
  17. That's exactly what I did, I had N11XY on the top and D on the bottom - I got pulled! I now have N11 XYD all fitted on one line in the middle - the lettering can be slightly smaller on an import plate and as it has two 1's in it, it fits ok.

  19. do you mean the one big phil has on his car? I want some!!! Rotas.
  20. I always found Mer to be a decent polish but as mentioned before, put a top coat of wax over it as protection afterwards.
  21. Hi there and welcome. I went from a Civic Type R to my Z, I live out in the sticks and so far (touch wood) have been ok and not had any 'back end' incidents, even with the potenzas.
  22. Hope you all had a good one. I had the traditional row with my husband and have also been full of cold throughout along with a hacking cough which has kept me up for the past 2 nights. On the plus side I did get a new alpine ipod head unit for the car and my son got me a model Z the exact same colour and spec as mine with lots of bits of body kit and wheels etc to mod it with - great fun!
  23. nice job! The steel wool is fine as long as you use the right grade. I have the same stuff as that which I got after advice from a professional on detailing world. Remember you can even get steel wool so fine that you can use it to restore furniture etc. It's good stuff.
  24. But you're going to anyway - You can convert that figure by multiplying it by 4.5 (litres to gallons) then dividing by 5/8 (kilometres to miles). That means you are getting 23.9 miles per gallon! You bugger - does that mean I can't pretend I'm getting 30 anymore?
