  1. well it made me chuckle, must have missed it the first time round trawling through all your spam.............
  2. To all my blonde friends and a few others A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten. We all looked at each other and another customer asked, 'What is a seven-hundred-ten?' She replied, 'You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I have lost it and need a new one..' She replied that she did not know exactly what it was, but this piece had always been there. The mechanic gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to another car which had its hood up and asked 'is there a 710 on this car?' She pointed and said, 'Of course, it's right there.' If you're not sure what a 710 is Click Here http://www.hotautoweb.com/cogifs/710.jpg
  3. I think i'd try and get something out of them for the bonnet. I had a similar thing happen on a car I had after a year and they still offered to look at it for me, and that was a car supermarket NOT a dealer! I'm just wondering what you're consumer rights are on that issue. If you buy a car off a dealer no way should you be looking at spraying it a year later!
  4. is that really you digsy? You look like one of the Everley Brothers!
  5. Think you've got a good idea there mate - we could get all the Zed bods to wear some sort of Rock face paint! he he he The options are endless! Thanks Nixy - I found it odd to have a cassette player as part of the standard audio unit in the Zed - this does mean I have dug out my old tapes and have been playing them every now and again! Sad I know - of course never with the roof down - Go for it 80's gal - get that Visage tape out of the loft! Ok then I think you may be ready for this - since its been an 80's week so far.............. 1 last pic - make sure your not eating anything when you see it as hearty laughter will bring indigestion!! Behold my mates! again around '84/85 ish (and we are NOT gay!!) I'm the one behind the drivers door.... If you cant have a laugh at yourself then lifes far too serious! Oh my god it's Haircut 100!
  6. come on now, priorities, the garage/drive should be first on the list it is MY priority - just not someone elses unfortunately! And reversing in? You sound like my bloody husband - he says - 'new garage door? You've got a driving licence haven't you? If you can't get through there you should have it taken off you' He's a pig!
  7. it's KM per litre - that's the only bit that seems to stay the same on the JDM cars. So yes, you're not getting as much as you would like! (that's how it is in mine anyway)
  8. happy birthday from a fellow child of the 80's! (b: 1968) You just can't beat 80's music!
  9. nightmare. I wouldn't mind the info as well as I have a stone chip so big it has put a ding in the side of my car!
  10. welcome on board. .......and we're not all lads you know!
  11. we actually bought it for the location and peace and quiet and nice private drive after our last neighbours! The house needs completely gutting though so lots to do! We've only finished one room so far.
  12. you're far wiser parking at the empty end of the car park and walking as someone will possibly dint your door on purpose if you park in 2 spaces. Someone on here had their aerial pulled off for doing that IIRC
  13. oi, those are my 'just moved in' pics. I'm hoping to have some good before and afters soon! Still working on the other half for the roller door but I usually get my own way - that's how I got the Z in the end! Lots of good advice thanks everyone.
  14. Drive bricks? Never heard of them but I'll look into it.
  15. have you seen the length of my drive?
  16. I would have thought there's a good reason why you can get that one at that price - it's swings and roundabouts really. As soon as I got my car I stopped looking at the price of others - it doesn't do you any good, just enjoy what you've got, you still got a good one!
  17. I've got a piece of hardstanding in front of my garage that apart from being ugly has a kerb effect. I haven't attempted to get the car up there as at the moment the garage is full of stuff we are using to renovate the house. assuming I can get the car through a 7 foot wide door what would you recommend to smooth the lump? Someone has suggested putting a row of house bricks round the edge then gravelling over as gravel on it's own would be too deep. And to get rid of the concrete would be a mammoth task! You can just imagine having to put the revs on to get up the ledge when you're pointing to a narrow door! Plus the angle of the drive means driving around the corner and probably reversing in as i would be going in the right hand door due to a workbench in the back of the garage on the left.
  18. i am not a total ignoramous I did actually PM Tilly.
  19. I have two of these in my boot - came with the car. So, by my reckoning I'm half way to a decent set of wheels! Look out for my very rare ebay auction folks!
  20. i'd prefer a gin and tonic ta.
  21. The S is classed as sport The T is classed as luxury The ST is sport and luxury
  22. euro spec? sounds like a load of bull to me but big phil should sort you out with the parts you need.
  23. well i've managed to shake her loose today and tomorrow due to stuff I have to do after work which involves driving there straight after work. It's hard to turn down such a decent saving and I suppose it does keep the miles down now i've gone into double figures! I'm going to suggest that we have one day a week where we do our own thing just to keep me sane. I just keep telling myself its only temporary!
  24. am I correct in thinking that the JDM standard exhaust is a tad quieter than the UK one? I've always thought mine could do with just a touch more growl.
