  1. i always thought that was an 'unwritten' guideline. I guess discretion ends somewhere though.
  2. I have some friends in Swindon who use them, they are quite well recommended.
  3. phew, lucky bugger! Bet your heart was in your mouth. I was once doing just under a ton in my type R, looked in the mirror and out of nowhere a T5 behind me lights flashing and siren on - i moved over to let it pull me in, heart pounding, and it just flew straight past and kept going! My lucky day! I've been a lot more careful ever since and like Stew said if anyone comes up behind me quickly I slow down and let them pass first.
  4. I am from Doncaster : Not a million miles from me then. I pass by on the M18 now and then.
  5. totally agree on the punishment! Not anywhere near severe enough for the carnage they could have caused! Not to mention the cost of hospital treatment.

    Show plates

illegal spacing can only be done by buying show plates not official plates so you've had it!
  7. they were twin sisters or something from sweden - utter nutters, must have had a suicide pact or something, it was totally the most bizarre thing i've seen! I felt sorry for the drivers.
  8. best of luck with it - who was the dealer?
  9. We don't want to know what you wear with your gimp mask in the cellar stew!
  10. Good God Biccie - what have you been doing? Diesel is totally trecherous stuff! Glad you're ok and have kept your sense of humour!
  11. I use mobil 1 supersyn fully synthetic - I think its 5w-30
  12. That looks like a fairly robust piece of kit! However, at most amusement parks I prefer to hold the coats and watch!
  13. why do you want to drive with your windows open anyway, especially in the rain? Or are you a dirty smoker like uncle mart?
  14. It needs petrol in it to make it work - it would be better if it ran on water or fresh air.
  15. You do realise that Phil drugs his tea then gets you to spend a fortune? Welcome along!
  16. I was thinking more if you were going to say something along the lines of "yes officer I was doing 60" but the information in the car's brain says something else!
  17. I was flicking through a handbook of another car last night (yes I know sad) and on a section regarding the engine management system it said that in the event of a collision or near collision a Jaguar dealer could download information such as how fast you were going, if you and/or passengers were wearing seatbelts, if you were applying brakes, if you were applying accelerator etc etc. It said they needed the owners permission to gather the info unless requested by a law enforcement officer. I didn't realise they could do all that! Is this a common thing on modern cars now?
  18. i have to say I felt quite proud of you!
  19. I don't think it is! I actually agree with what Sarnie says. You can get in a Z for less than 10k now if you're not too fussy. My local dealer is selling a sunset 04/54(can't remember which) with low mileage UK GT and it's still up for over 17k. Prices are varying wildly at the moment.
  20. Sarnie - I am gobsmacked that you managed to resist! A search on this will reveal 100 photos of your car!
  21. hello. Looking forward to your pictures. Bet you can't sleep until you get it!
