Just got back from Panto in York. Was worried about the weather but it had cleared up a bit by the time we went. I did have to pour water on my car doors to even get in it though as it was -4 in the middle of the day here....... Panto was ace apart from some spoiled brats sat next to us, amazing how the most posh sounding kids can say the F word in a fancy accent and be totally rude just the same as rough kids! Anyway, came out of Panto and oh my god, the snow had fallen. Had to walk back to the zed and what a pair of divs we were. Arm in arm skidding along in totally inappropriate footwear. Its true though, steering into a skid does work! At one point we started sliding down a slope on the path and decided to just slide with it.......we gained traction again at the bottom of the slope....... Nighmare journey home. The busiest A road in the area (A1079) completely covered in snow and ice and no sign of a gritter anywhere. Unbelievable and very scary.......It was a relief to get off that road and onto my country road which was even worse but at least no traffic.

I think you missed off a 'ding dong' somewhere to go with that picture......... Extra points to chris for getting the forum in his pic!

i'm laughing out loud at that one! Having said that my friends son came in from the snow last night and i had to seriously bite my tongue when he said "i've just written my name on your car........" All i could think of was, you mean you've just scratched my car...........

I don't know who is the biggest weirdo the man or the woman.............

not as silver as they were, they've darkened off but that may be winter coats? Not sure. If you want one you know where they are............

well he's usually in the garage so i don't bother..........it doesn't freeze up in there.

yeah me too. Slept out last night so car wasn't in his garage bed and washers never defrosted the whole 45 min journey in. The last bit is blinding sun and it was a bit dodgy to say the least........

Just be careful Luce, its easy to be a bit complacent in a Four wheel drive but as i saw when one did a spin in front of me this morning, you can still get caught out depending on tyre type etc. So go steady!

i was right, couldn't get it in the garage when i got home.......had to leave him outside in the cold poor thing!

I won't be able to reverse the zed into the garage up the hardstanding either.........back just wiggles.

well considering the MAIN road outside my office is covered i'm not looking forward to the untreated cross country bit to my house.............. taking the afternoon off and going shortly!
