Yay, i got my sat nav , i opted for the navman 750 instead , same dimentions as 720 but has an internal 4gb hard drive with detailed maps of the whole of europe installed as opposed to the 720. Fits perfectly into the cubby, and ill sort out the hidden power lead soon i can ONCE AGAIN THANKYOU CAPTINT on a separate note was told before i bought it that it had all the speed camera locations available for download, little did i know that i had to pay nav man a subscription -F00k that!!! I want it for FREEEEEEEEEE A spirited search on the interweb (only about 10 mins) and i found the latest camara database (sept 06) for pretty much every sat nav system all broken own into the various types of camera -SCORE!!

Price is about right , gt models would be about a grand more, very few non-gt specs about these days, bound to be less than the going price

there are many more examples of GM compared with rest, easier to get a bargain imo, but hold out for the spec you want otherwise it will always niggle at you , i always wanted GM GT RAYS , luckily enough thats the most common , i lost the deposit on an azure with a good deal to get my eventual car but seriously start looking now it took me a good few months (and test drives ) before i found my z

i think that theres a slight inrease in risk when buying an imported car compared with a uk car and this is reflected in the price difference however there are lemons everywhere nowadays if you know your stuff and are prepared to work a bit harder you can save a lot of money on an import in my case i didnt have the facilities to confidently go the import route so i stayed in the uk market but getting back to the original topic brum stud , dont take this the wrong way but i dont think you seem 100% clued up on the import market and driving 8hrs to view a car can put you in a dangerous frame of mind and you may make a rash decision especially if thats the first time you drive the car . there are hundreds of import examples all within throwing distance of birmingham shop around , i forfeited 2 deposits on two z's because i wanted one badly only for the perfect one to come along if you have any doubt its not worth it mate

it is a scam , when an ebay account has been hijacked they dont always get aceess to the original accounts email , so the scammers tell you to do the deal through a separate email adress like this ponce is doing
-
yeah i know, and the holdcroft ones on ebay always sell for 120+, you know one could buy bulk from mr f and then put them on ebay

hello where in brum , im in edgbaston, i dont know that much about imports i chickened out and got a uk car , but those deals are pretty solid , are those the final prices? with the car in this country? regarding the brakes i remember an american journalist who tested both brakes and i think the conclusion was that there was no appreciable difference between the stopping power of the brakes but the brembos had better "heat soak ability" on the track in the real world the discs on the brembos are slightly bigger and most importantly , they look the dogs full tank of premium is 60 bucks and that will get you probably as low as 350 and as high as 450 i think oh and welcome

dont really want to be taking apart the dash last time i tried that on a honda and i did permanent damage and tbh the honda dash removal was simpler than z one looked anyways now that i think about it , it would prob be transferred between a few cars so i would appreciate it if captint could tell me (only if he knew ) that the cubby could be closed with the entire lengh of the power cable in the cubby (too many scumbags in saxos)

yeah two big cogs bottom right hand corner of the seat to adjust the angle and height of the base, mine is a uk gt with the black leather
-
OK so ive only had the z for a month now and about 2 weeks into ownership the drivers side seat started to squeak , it was mainly during side to side movements(Happens alot ) and going over bumpy roads (try not to happen alot ) and it was getting progressively worse to a stage that the stereo would not mask the sound. It felt like it was coming from the base of the seat not the back part it was under warranty so i was just gonna nissan to sort it out but i managed to fix it all it required was turning the 2 big cogs on the side of the seat to their extremities back and forth a couple of times, and the noise was gone i was jumping on the seat to check it and the seat did not make a a sound this might not work for everyone because i think there is a known issue with the seat but anything helps i guess!!

PERFECTO thanks alot ive seen those holes at the back of the cubby also , thats a good idea feeding the wire through , is it simple to relocate the from the other side and feed it to the lighter or did you have to take apart the dash? i got a deal of 220 without traffic master (DEF not getting it after your advice) is that about right
-
Ok its time for the sat nav in the cubby hole now ive found a good deal on a nav man 720 and the dimentions stated looks like it will be a good fit in the cubby , i have a few q's 1. does anyone have this device in thier cubby? 2. and can they close the cubby lid with the unit plus the whole legnth of the power cable and the ciggarette lighter plug inside (this is important) 3. how is the reception i have a 54 where the cubby lid lifts up but doesnt retract into the centre console (im sure that happens on some z) its either that or thde new those om tom one anyone got one of those?
