I'm sorry but I don't agree: the upscaling capability is highly inferior to genuine hi-def image quality. I have one of the best upscaling DVD players around and it's nowhere near as good as a true HD (or blueray) image. It is a slight improvement on a standard DVD format, but that's all. LOTS of info about upscaling on avforums.com I agree with Val on this one, you can tell a big difference in quality and image between an upscaled and true HD dvd player. Well i can anyway
