  1. For the first point I reckon it is the local council that gives the final go ahead. In my job I've had to get cables laid and council wouldn't approve till the weekend. Something to do with road being a red route. I also reckon the council should be checking if the work is essential, could be doubled up with other companies usage and to also check it is left in a suitable state. I blame the council for most things......my one is run by idiots.
  2. Good suggestion, decided to consult the boards after I got a blister, credit card was okay until I noticed the hairdryer was separating the plastic coating of it. Used WD40 and the credit card and it all came of easy peasy! Washed off the WD40 frequently as don't know what else it would dissolve. All I have left is the faint outline of the letters. Any suggestions? Now have to explain to the wife how I got a blister on my thumb due to excessive rubbing?
  3. Did many JDMs attend? Are they allowed or do they get put to the back of the queue and have to stay 1/4 mile behind
  4. Just replaced the Navi unit behind the drivers seat with the Xtrail unit, still got the JDM screen, keys and GPS aerial in place. Plus those two cables which are maybe for the TV aerial and stuff. Off for a drive tomorrow to fully test it......
  5. Sensible.... We should have a followup vote Would telling the wife of his loyalty............. A, Gain brownie points and a romantic night in. B, Get a scornful look and no dinner for some unknown reason
  6. I wasn't having much luck finding 350 units for a sensible price. Unit cost £120 on ebay which I think was expensive but I was upagainst another impatient guy. Has a 2003 disk in it.
  7. Hi, just swapped out my JDM Navi unit for a Xtrail unit and it seems to work quite happily with the display - now just need to go on a lengthy trip to see if it makes sense and can keep up I have a few Jap cables with nowhere to plug them in but chuffed the unit recognised my location, spoke to me in English and I've managed to work out the buttons. To replace the Navi need to take off the front surround so you can get a ratchet down the side to remove the screws. Need to get to the rear to declip the cables by removing the driver/passenger foot door trim and side interior. I then managed to get the "luggage floor finisher upper (rear)" prised out without removing the boot trim. Getting it back in is a bugger put a bit of careful bashing got it flush. Managed it in around 2 hours and I'm a novice. Hope this help someone.
  8. Phoned my local Nissan for a quote, he says 36k was major service and would cost £232, with a minor being £151. I think this ain't bad....
  9. Hi and welcome, See another Black, must be the best colour.

OOps. Fair enough. It just shows that Colesy's valuation is waaaaay too high then Mmmmm. When you've spent over £8000 on extras and the car is in excellent condition still, I don't believe that £23K is too much... But £8000 of extra's does not add £8000 to your car. I'd be very suprised if you got £20k for it No, let the boy talk the price up. Cos when I get a 2004ST Black next year I want to still be able to sell my 2002T for no loss! Dream on sonny jim, your gonna lose loads even in 12 months!!! People are advertising for much more than 13.5k so I live in hope! Well that's what I told the wife when justifying my new car....

  15. I'm sure someone posted a link a while back to a white LV version on Ebay so there is more than one nutter out there. This one have the full trim, seats and all. I'm off to find it....
  16. On the tele they proved a diesel happily running on used oil from the chippy, does this really work or was this camera trickery? We could then get all the construction companies to only reuse the oil used to fry their employees meals down the local cafe. Mmmm, do donuts get made in oil? We could then convert the cop cars too!
  17. Very shiney, Much better than my attempt, I went out at half time to give her a quick wash and hurried back to find the Toon Army had gone 2-1 down. Bugger.
  18. Ta, no mention on the invoice for fuel so guess not been charged.
  19. Yep, I didn;t like the orange leather in Silver either. I think the best combo is with black/tan and went for the orange to brighten the interior. The only issue I have is some patches are stretched and you can see the dark layer below giving black stretch marks. Don't know if anyone else gets this.
  20. Dropped off the wife whilst she ran in to collect the dog from her mams'. Just as she left the local kids surrounded my motor asking questions. Nice motor what is it? How much was it? Was it more than a grand? more than three grand? How fast does it go? Can I sit in it? I've now got a complete collection of a bunch of 7-10 year olds finger prints all over the car! Not quite the pulling power I hoped for!
  21. Hope you sent him back up to get his cheque book and pen. I assume cops aren't allowed to accept cash and you don't wanna get involved in money laundering.
  22. Nice post, unfortunately I read just after I bought all my stuff, now I need a second bucket and to get rid of the sponge. You guys cover everything!
  23. Hi, it's parts from a scapped motor.
