  1. I have It's now been written off, estimated repair cost got close to 22k, at which point they decided to write the car off and simply replace it with a new one. 2007 Temper Orange Nismo GT has been ordered and due mid August Will it have the V1 Nismo kit? I believe so, which is lucky as I really don't like the back end of the Version Nismo car.

  3. Already on it, it goes back to Marshalls for the work to be carried out, they were also surprised by this however they did say that the assessor didn't actually have any quotes to work with. It's due up at Marshalls next week, I do know that the drive train sounded bad when it was started up after the incident (not by me I hasten to add), it was a case of the car being moved by either forklift truck or driven into the garage, they decided to drive it in so started the car up, it sounded awful.
  4. Update, upon further investigation it's been discovered that there was an accident at the same spot about 12 hours previously. I have spoken to both the HWA and Essex Police Accident Investigations who confirm that an incident occured where I had my accident but unfortunately the accident report for both incidents haven't been written up (actually scratch that as the police couldn't wait to leave the scene of my accident). As previously mentioned the general consensus was that it was either black ice or oil on the road. The fact that the police just breathed me and left leaves me in no doubt that in their minds I did nothing wrong and that the accident couldn't be helped. As to answering whether I had ESP on or off, make of it what you want by my refusing to answer that question, also make of it what you want for my reasons in not answering it. Please understand that whilst I am waiting for more information on what's going to happen next I am not going to say something that 'could' potentially cause me grief. The thing to remember is that I wasn't driving like an idiot, I wasn't speeding and this just happened. It was beyond my control due to the simple fact that it happened as quickly as it did, one of the things mentioned by the HWA was that the vehicle did leave a skid mark on the road as it made it's way into the Armco. Make of that what you want.
  5. Lucky for me there are no undeclared mods, add to that they are all insured as well (one of the reasons for the cost of £750 for the policy, I wanted everything insured). Hopefully people will understand if I fail to answer some questions atm, purely because I can't.
  6. General feeling is that it will be, two air bags deployed as well as the radiator going into the engine a bit. Spoke to the bodyshop manager at the dealer who suggested that the insurance company send an assessor down before moving it as the description of the damage means that it's probably total loss\BER. Silly thing is that I was stopped at the red lights, pulled away and in less then 200 yards I was sitting in the armco The back end just went and by the time it caught again the car was in the armco which spun me around. Police turned up, breathed me and then drove off, obviously nothing I could have done, no speeding... just unlucky I am just thankful that my 7 month pregnant wife wasn't in the car.
  7. Pictures tell a thousand words. M11 sliproad at Birchanger Services (Stansted) heading towards Cambridge at 7.45 in the morning
  8. Adrian Flux charge me £750 fully comp, 36 with 11 years NCB (although only 9 taken into consideration) and it's a modded car. Actually, its been rather more modded over the weekend.
  9. Currently at about 3l of oil in 4300 miles. I have actually put in 2l of oil so far but it's not even reached the low mark on the dipstick atm so guessing I will need another 1l of oil to get it midway between the low and high marks. Dealer informed, I just need to get there to carry out their own tests.
  10. Have to admit I like the white stripes on that car above :o
  11. TBH keep the rays for winter use, it's what I did (althought haven't swapped them over as yet). Failing that about a grand.
  12. Ahh but Neil has been asked and hasn't provided proof, I guess leaving that for you to do instead
  13. TBF I think it's a mix between lady and gents. I also get the feeling that Jane can give as good as she gets, certainly sounds like a woman who knows how to entice the guys.
  14. I generally manage to put about 65 - 70l of fuel in the car, last night it was 63l and I had covered 287miles, alot of those miles included 'spirited' driving tho.
  15. 300 - 350 is a fair assumption, it's what I average.
  16. But still no actual pictures of said lady
  17. Yeah, I resemble that remark as well, but at least I have a flash car
  18. What my car says about me is that I want to be the centre of attention, to have people look at me and my car and be admired for it, I think it says I have an outgoing personality, one not to shy away from other people, who isn't scared of being a focal point. Lets face it, it's a lovely looking car that will always get an admiring view from people, the colours tell a lot about the personality of the person as well, look at Sarnie in his Yellow car, me in my red one, we shout out 'Look at us' I went to a pub recently to meet some online friends, nice bunch of people who when they found out that a Z was parked outside were out there looking at it, they admired the car and me for owning it, I tried to look exasperated to my wife who told me 'who are you kidding, you love the attention' which, lets face it I did. I guess the car tells me that I am an attention seeking whore at the end of the day
  19. More than likely limited to 112mph as well, all JDM cars when manufactured are limited to 112, you can buy a piggyback device that removes it tho. TBH it's not a bad deal, I do know a number of people have enjoyed the tiptronic box on the car. Get it bought.
  20. Not actually true, I know because my car got done with the Supaguard in place. Where the problem lies is if the ppf can't stick to the car, if this happens then they have to 'thin' out the wax\supaguard a bit to allow the ppf to stick.
  21. You are talking about the GT-R here aren't you? Only reason I ask is that according to http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/secret_new_car.php?sid=224&page=3 it will have either
  22. It also depends on what you want to do with the car, are you leaving it standard or going to be modding in anyway at all? Reason?? I spoke to Admiral about insuring the Z, got a decent quote of £550 but they wouldn't replace the GT pack even tho it's a Nissan optional extra, they wouldn't touch any of the other mods I had either (see below). Anyway, I spoke to Adrian Flux and got my car insured for £750, this covers all of the mods (including the Nismo exhaust) as well as the GT pack, the claims department have been great (car got ran into at the 3 week old point) and I got the car back within 2 weeks. Whilst I agree that Adrian Flux can be bad, for a modded car owner they were great. Just a shame that more of the mainstream companies don't realise that the car comes in more than one flavour (non gt pack).

    Jealousy?

They are lightly tinted already, also suggest not going for more than light smoke on them if you do decide to get tints, anything darker and it would make the interior look too dark. Light smoke on mine looks good. As for the dust caps. We got told recently on a driving experience day at Millbrook that fast driving can cause dust caps to undo themselves if not heavy enough, it was actually seen as well. After a particularly fast session out on the circuit we checked our caps and some people had loose ones, just be warned that it may not actually be thieving scum buckets stealing them but gravity\enertia etc doing it instead.
  24. Rays are a standard fit for all 06+ cars now.
