  1. Well I got the car back on Friday, hats off for the swiftness of the repair Slight problem with the work tho, the replaced Nismo wheel came with the wrong Nismo decal . I currently have 3 old decals, 1 new.. and they didn't even notice the difference (even after I told them there was a problem). The only other problem I had with the car was the fact that it wasn't valeted, I mean someone went over it with a cloth but even that was done haphazardly, in the sun the following day I noticed several large areas where they had simply missed. Over all I am not that impressed with the result from them, yes they got the car out very quickly but the attention to detail was simply lacking. The lack of a valet was sloppy (it's a 5 week old car, you would think they would want to take pride in returning it to a good standard) and the fact that I have to go up there again to get the problem rectified is stupid (it's not exactly a local dealer, approx 140 mile trip, give or take). In all honesty, not somewhere I would go again to get the car repaired
  2. .....repair rather than replace???!!!! I know, I wasn't happy when told this on Saturday but oh well.
  3. I did mean the zed, as thats what the post is about. Its inept people like you who give IT people like us a bad reputation as know-all-help-no ones Sorry couldnt resist as you walked into that one! Welcome to the Forum by the way You gotta love em don't you mate Cocky IT Consultants FTW (and before anyone has a pop, I fit that category just fine thanks).
  4. Mine went up there on Saturday for work on it, daft blind old woman apparently didn't see me driving down a dual carriage way and pulled out on me. Anyway, they are due to replace the offside Nismo wheel and repair the bumper which was also hit.
  5. They should have gotten in on Blacky's GB
  6. it didn't say which was better to keep, purely pointed out how much rays were as a option My point being that it cost you £1000 to upgrade to the Rays on the 03-05 car, with an 06 car it would be a downgrade.
  7. but Mike, surely if he has the 35th Ani wheels he would be better off keeping them? Paying £1000 for the Rays on an 03-05 was fair enough when you were handing over the standard wheels, but they aren't standard wheels.. and I bet you the dealer won't be taking them back into stock.
  8. Hang on, is this an 06 car?
  9. tbh mate I would definitely suggest getting some wheels, especially where you are. I know it wouldn't take too long to get to Calais from Charleroi (about 2hours) but I doubt you would get 4 wheels into the car if you decided to take the Z. Perhaps meeting halfway may prove beneficial to both of you? Failing that, I am sure you aren't too far from a shop that sells new wheels (sure I used to pass one regularly when going down the road from Spy to Mons??). Lastly perhaps have a look on ebay although you may pay thru the nose for postage on those as well. Just a shame I am not going to Luxembourg any time soon One slight query tho... 301hp?? How are you getting that? I thought the 06 was 296\7 bhp? Oh and I would definitely suggest good winter tyres rather than performance tyres over winter, having experienced the weather over there you would I am sure not want to pay for body repairs.
  10. The 5 spoke wheels you get standard aren't the standard fit in the UK, they are limited to the 35th edition car only Saying that I have Nismo wheels anyway, I also understand that the 5 spoke wheels are actually heavier than the 6 spoke Rays that are now standard on the UK MY06 car's. As for spacers, you shouldn't need any spacers on wheels that are standard to the car. Finally body kit, I haven't really had too much trouble with my front lip on the car, sure I have to take speed bumps slowly but I am not too concerned about that. I did notice on Sunday tho that my exhaust grounds out if I am not too careful when going over speed bumps (not all bumps, only particularly horrible ones). Over all I am bloody pleased with the whole kit. Well done for getting the car
  11. Its a car based on an old and not very good chassis (Merc SLK) and it's too bling for my own piece of mind. I think that really the closest rival to the Z has to be something like the S2000 for the Roadster and maybe a Cayman S or new TT for the Coupe. I for one know which car I prefer, although I would have liked a Porker there are just too many of them around.
  12. The wife and I recently got new cars, a Micra for her btw. We are both employed and at the moment can comfortably afford both the insuranace and fuel bills for both cars, admittedly the Z is only a social car, used mostly at weekends but I have still managed to put 650 miles on it in under 2 weeks. Mind you, it was only now that we decided that we could afford both cars, having recently got married and moved house we knew that before we had paid for those two things we would have been struggling.
  13. Yes we did +99.9% of the forum! What a sourpuss! Hope you get sorted soon mate. Far from being a sourpuss Sylvester, to me, telling the world that he had a date with a hot girl and smashed his car up whilst showing off isn't perhaps the brightest thing to do, sure you can tell people you had an accident whilst on a date but don't post a ****ing web link of the girl, smacks of in your face to me.
  14. Why not go down to your local Nissan dealer and get them from there?
  15. Sorry but why did we need to know about 'Katja'?? You were showing off to a date, it went wrong, @*!# happens. Yes I feel sorry for you but you said it yourself, you were being a numpty. As for the repairs, you have two choices as I can see it, you can carry on paying for it out of your own pocket (which can start getting expensive) or go thru your insurance, however I think that the insurance may well decline because of the time it's taken to inform them. All in all a pretty damned expensive date. Next time, don't show off so much. ESP is there for a reason, we all know the car is flighty in the wet, why on earth take it off?
  16. But do these include the Nismo kit or 19" wheels? Don't forget this is a brand new car with full Nismo kit. I really can't understand why people are so against the price of this, sure it's a bit pricy but perhaps by no more than 3 - 5k surely?
  17. I thought that the third party insurance on other cars only applied if the car was already insured by another party?? I think you will also find that you can't be the owner of the car. Of course you could always buy the car, give it to your mother\father (who of course has a driving licence and no car currently), get the car insured and you put down as the named driver??
  18. Just to add tho that this is a brand new car, so it happens to be an import but the whole idea of the car being sold for under 20k is a little unreal don't you think? How much would it cost for a new 06 Roadster that's fully loaded? Also note what is included. Tiptronic, ABS Brakes, Power Steering, Central Locking, Climate Control, Electric Windows & Mirrors, Immobiliser, Alezan Orange Leather, Electric Heated Seats, 6 Disc CD & Radio Cassette, 2 x Airbags, 19â€
  19. No chance of that mate, only 75 other UY in the country You'll just have to settle for a bog standard blue or summat lol, actually i really love the UY So does everyone on here but they just pretend to not Nah I prefer my Chilli So do the other 15 Chilli owners I know, we are a limited group of owners
  20. No chance of that mate, only 75 other UY in the country You'll just have to settle for a bog standard blue or summat lol, actually i really love the UY So does everyone on here but they just pretend to not Nah I prefer my Chilli
  21. Trouble is the standard Rays are 6 spoke, I love the Nismo's tho Mrcofpep, the Nismo kit was all done by Nissan although I do believe it's a completely different front bumper I think the rest is bolt on.
  22. NU quoted me £996.26p, that's for the unmodified car (it was quoted whilst getting the Driveaway insurance just incase my cover note didn't turn up). Anyway, Admiral quoted me £575 but again that was for an unmodified car, they didn't want to know if it was modified (Nismo kit counts as modification, they wouldn't have covered it). Finally got it with Adrian Flux, £750 with Nismo kit, zorst, popcharger and wheels. Not bad considering I am 36, got 9 years NCB and no points.
  23. Just seen that, the 15th is an ok date for me, just checking with she who must be obeyed to see if she fancies a trip there that weekend.
  24. Work, unfortunately prevails. I do however have over 340 miles on her since picking her up on Saturday I know mate, only teasing....... I've been thinking about changin for a chili roadster next year, and see your Nismo'd up hasn't help me thinking about it! BTW, where was the dealers? I read the trauma report on the other site. Was it Marshalls? Where are they? (I know they were NOT to blame about the delays) Just interested as you seemed to get a good service from the dealers etc? Yeah it was Marshalls, they are based in Cambridge (about an hour away from me). In all honesty I can say I will be going back to them. Infact it's the second car we have bought from them (wifes Micra the week before). All in all they did a very good job
