  1. Ahhh I knew your car rang a bell, I've seen it on MP3car forums, username clinched it Stunning car mate, cheers for the photo advice. What camera and lenses are you using? See Louis, it isnt using fast shutter speeds (well unless they are going really quickly of course!)
  2. need a dyno!!! Ahh course, I was being a numb nutt
  3. Like checking for bombs under the car?
  4. But quick shutter speed wouldnt induce motion blur. Notice the floor and car wheels are blurred. Cant have been that "quick" - but does depend on you definition of quick of course!
  5. Dont like the look of either of them. Evo: Front and rear spoilt. Front doesnt seem too bad, but certainly not the aggressive look I like about the old Evos as its too rounded. Tail lights look too quinty. spoiler looks dulled down as its lower than usual and doesnt look as aggressive. Scooby is just horrid. Nuff said! Hope its just a test mule and they go back to the older style which looked a lot better.
  6. You will indeed need a lense with a large aparture (i.e. let in lots of light), however you cant have to quick a exposure time as then the motion blur wouldnt kick in. That would be an uber hard shot to take and keep sharp. Low light, slow shutter speed, moving The other option is a photoshop effort. Take the motion shot (with slow shutter speed) to get the blur and a shot with much quicker shutter speed to get a sharp shot with no motion blur. Overlay the two keeping wheels, floor and background from the motion shot and car from the sharp shot. I'll let you decide which it is
  7. +1 - Some of the movement shots like the ones chasing the car look awsome and are pin sharp to boot.
  8. Probably as well it happened before you took it in why? Chris was very confident when i spoke to him at JTS and would have been sorted in 2 hours max. just a case of getting familiarised with the UTEC layout and interface, then anyone who knows what they are doing re. mapping would more than capable of doing it, and he does (as the many TT Z on std internals around can testify). Wasn't expecting on having any issues whatsoever, worst case scenario would have just meant pressing a button and reversing to map 0 (stock map, ECU 100% in control) Could you not trade him a beer for some of his time if its so easy? Do you need any specific software that they have and you dont? Otherwise dont see why you couldnt ask to do it as a personal favour for a few beers Can always revert to stock if needed as you say.
  9. Hoped it would be as easy at the linked guide. I still dont think it will be much harder than they suggest, just that you have to part remove the bumper on both sides. As a stop gap, I've ordered a carbon fiber sheet from eBay to cover the current amber reflectors. Not sure how well this will work
  10. In that case, when she asks for some Jimmy Choo's tell her that they are rubbish. My missus broke two pairs and had to send them back! Will look like you are in the know then
  11. I think I'm a no hoper. I cant cook, Iron or do anything around the house Take a cooking class - great way to pick up a new lady friend One of three will keep them happy for a while.

    DAY TO DAY CAR

Seen a few on the road, look ok. Not been in one or know anyone that has one though.
  13. Dont touch fast food - BK and Maccy D's for example, but I'll take your Indian and Chinese
  14. Cars. Occasionally. And food, dont forget food.
  15. Look good matey I'm currently getting some carbon sent from Oz on a deal I struck with a chap off eBay. He's giving me very preferential rates and I give him some good photos of the kit installed. Going to get the door handle barrel inserts like you have, some inserts for under the 3 central gauges and some inserts for the Nissan front and rear badges. Should look neat when I get it done.
  16. Bumpety bump Has anyone put these on a UK car? I tried to follow the link Craig provided, but on the left side (passenger) there also seems to be a bottle in the way when I pull back the wheel arch liner I am thinking that I will tackle the left and right side in the same way as they did the right in that take off the front of the bumper. Is there anything stopping me taking off the side of the bumper as they do on the right to get to the passengger side of mine? Looks like it was a bit of luck anyway, just after I put it back together its started to rain!
  17. Thats what I thought. Looked awesome on BigPhils car at Silverstone too
  18. Adam: Do you know what front lip that is on his Zed? Looks just what I am after. Once I get the credit card cleared and my house sorted
  19. Actually with the Megs Quick Clay I got from Halfrauds, I got Quick Detailer and some wax P21S is awesome wax, but it is also soft and wears off quicker than others. Be prepared to keep waxing it if you want to keep the awesome shine it gives - which I do!
  20. Against the flaming man, we want a rematch
  21. Good writeup Rob. Coming from an old shape Leon FR I would say the Zed is leagues ahead in all stakes. The turbo on the LFR was great fun with the rush of boost, but thats about it. In the corners it handles like a barge compared to the Zed. Build quality was shocking. In the 30k I had my LFR it was rattling like a good un. My Zed has just passed the 30k mark and doesnt have any rattles other than one, which is an obvious loose screw which I will sort when I can find it or take it to the dealer to find! The LCR is a rather quick beast from what I remember when chipped, kicking out about 280BHP, but there is still no way in the world I would trade in my Zed of a Leon. Oh and the new shape Leon is fugly!
  22. I thought I would get over it .... but no !!! Still the same after 3 months - just LOVIN my Z +1 - especially as more cabon tid bits arrive for it, always something new to look at
  23. Was that the B'stoke Renault? They were/are pap! I got my Zed from Basingstoke based on a mate singing their praises about services and MOTs. He gets all his cars done there, and apparently the MOT is the cheapest around. Thats why I was dissapointed with the service I got, albeit from one crappy salesman. Sounds like we have quite a little Blazingsmoke crew in the making
  24. Looks to me like hes having his wicked way with her
  25. Looks like it may do... Would need to email them to make sure.
