  1. Good stuff. Nice to have someone like Mr Godzilla looking to us for info. Yeah we had a nice little chat.
  2. Tom seem to think yours wasnt made by Buddy Club going by the others he had seen. Said it was far too well made to be a Buddy Club Good for you though, he said it was very well made.
  3. I like the look of the first pic but not so much the full car shots. I have a feeling the camera doesnt have enough dynamic range and cant fully capture the effect? I think in reality it will look good as you can see the difference between the tyre and rim, whereas on the pic of the whole car, you cant make it out. Look forward to seeing them in the flesh
  4. Didnt immediately jump out at me, but then I didnt really look at them too much. I was more bothered about having a poke around inside and see what it was like in there compared to the 350z. They do look huge in the pics though!
  5. Are they a member of Detailing World? Would be interested to see some of their work +1. I get most of my detailing advice from a very well known and respected detailer. He's generally the most expensive in the UK and he can charge that for a reason. As I say, each to their own. I don't understand your process of sealing before polishing so I'll stick to mine. It seems to work so I'll stick to it! I just dont see the logic of sealing then polishing. Polish by nature is abrasive, thats the idea of it. Jim, how does your detailler get rid of swirls if they seal then polish and the polish doesnt break through the sealant?

  7. Any news on the track time bud? Will get payment across shortly. Just need to work out if I have a +1 or not. The missus has exams the following day so doesnt think she'll come, but I have a standby, just need to confirm he's up for it before I fire off the fundage.
  8. I know its been said many times before but you really have to see it in person. Pictures just dont do it justice. I found it quite hard to photograph, but think I found some more interesting angles than other photos I've seen. It does work and gel a lot better in the flesh
  9. Nice work buddy. If you do copies of the Nismo shape, you will probably sell a few on here

    Doooooo ittttttttt!
  11. I think as the others have said, you need to check carefully what is and what isnt covered. It should be under the T&Cs. I had a 12 month exended Nissan warrenty and when by dome lights and BCM decided to go haywire, they replaced both within about a week at no charge. Would have cost me about £800 to get it done privately. So they can be worth it, but lets just say I dont have one now as they wanted £600 for the next year
  12. But then when the 370z is second hand, makes the justification even harder! 370z wins me thinks
  13. Oi, I told them it takes more turns and that it doesnt get any looser until the end. I've had mine on and off about 4 times so I know what I'm doing No circlip on mine, but that doesnt mean there isnt one think we posted together chris, when i said knows more, i meant than me! Let you off then

    stage 1

As Martin has alreay pointed out, the ECU in the Zed is very complex and does its best not to allow you to get any gains from mods. Not at all like on turbo cars. As such there is no equivelent to a Stage 1 tune at the moment as the only remap you can get done is an expensive piggy back or replacement ECU which is quite an investement. Hopefully RS Tuning can put an end to this and allow ECU flash via OBD port soon and as Martin says there will be quite a long queue

  16. No MIL now then? Glad to see you got home safe and sound buddy. Really weird that the Nismo ECU didnt want to be read by OBDII Was a nice trip out for me, shame a good deal of the 350z that were meant to be there didnt make it while we were there. Think Martin may them
  17. It does take quite a few turns to get it off. You need to clamp the gear lever shaft to stop it rotating then keep twisting the the knob off. It doesnt seem to get any looser until its nearly off as it has locking thread on it. If that doesnt work after a lot of turns then something must be slipping, in which case I cant help. I wouldnt suggest trying to use a hacksaw to get it off as you then have no thread for the new one to go onto!
  18. Just back from this, heres the usual gratuitus photos. Got to sit in the 370z and have a play. First impressions are much the same as everyone else whos seen it. It looks much better in real life. The lights, the lumps, the bumps, the curves, all make sense. The only think I think that lets it down is the front leading edge of the bumper is sooo high! Interior is much nicer than the 350z, but I wouldnt say its in the same league as Audi or Porsche. Think where Audi were a couple of years ago, and thats where the Nissan is now. Big leap on the quality of the plastics and the "bash test" revealed no thin plasic or cheap fitting. Was very solid for a Nissan. This was only a base model so not the nicer seats or door cards but was impressed. Only letdown in the interior is that although they have removed the rear strut, now the boot area is very open. As we have seen in the 350z, it can be quite noisy unless you fit a toneou (sp?) cover. In the 370z you dont get this option so could be noisier. Anyway, heres the pics...
  19. DING That's a bigger issue than the TC being a bit playful. Indeedy, my money would be on that. There also seems to be a real issue if you dont keep the front to back stagger in rolling radius correct. Lots of tyre places assume front and rear are the same RR but they are not. You need to keep it within the OEM ratio otherwise it has a fit. Mine has been fine on 2 sets of wheels and 3 sets of tyres, never had a problem.
  20. Yup same opinion coming from all over. The gap between the Cayman and the Zed has gotten smaller, but Nissan arent quite there yet. But close enough to get my money tbh after seeing it today Its also in Top Gear this month which gives pretty much the same opinion again.
  21. You really have to see it in the flesh guys. Just back from the PH Sunday Service and they had one there (not supprising being hosted at Nissan HQ - along with some GTRs). The lights, the lines, the lumps the bumps, all look much better in the flesh. Watch out for the PH SS thread, and I will post my pics up after lunch as I tried to get them from the best angles I could find and will give my option of it (short version - very nice, much of a step up from a 350z, but not enough to pay £20 for one new over a SH 350z at the moment).
  22. Think you'll have to wait and see mate. Could be any number of things. Quite how he got your phone number I dont know. Have you googled the number he gave you to make sure it is the Police and not just a joke?
  23. Yes, all it changes is the little light on the dash. You didnt think Nissan would give you access to the rev limiter did you? And you always have and always will be limited
  24. You know what you're right! I thought I recognised it but couldnt pin it on what. Its the bit that comes out for the tow eye!
